Sorry for the delay, now that the download issues have been resolved, everyone can update through any platform.

After to update, i checked that it is not possible to take picture neither in mode planetary or in scenary. You can take videos or time-lapse videos, but not photos. If you try, it shows the waiting icon for the infinite... without to take any picture.

Barsoom Could you please send us a screenshot so we can take a look at the situation?

If the firmware is not updated at the same time as the app, I would expect that there are features/functions that will not work properly or not at all. Before we choose not to update the firmware, how will we know what will not work?

SteveB435 More on that aspect. The ability to NOT upgrade the firmware will lead to the app being of a higher release level than the downlevel firmware. Does ZWO test this scenario to ensure that app properly compensates (if necessary) with the downlevel firmware? If so, how many downlevels of firmware will be supported? If I don't update the firmware over, for example, three app updates, can I expect the entire system to work? Or, will the app be limited to , say, one down level of firmware and force firmware updates if the difference is larger?

These questions are based on years of support/development of client/server software that required downlevel/uplevel support. We chose three downlevels to support....but it required testing ......
