Lilo Might seem like a dirty hack. But it works, as Seestar app will still return after its quit, even if you force quit it. Same as ASIAIR app, when it starts it queries the hardware and gets an almost imediate status update.

Also, android does wait a little while before the force quit when that battery setting is turned off. I've had it set like this over 3 phones and have had no issues.

Maybe try it yourself. It's a stop-gap for sure - but it may help :-)

No need actually.
Support finally clarified the issue. Exit is not actually exit, but is minimize to background. Swipe the app off from apps screen stops it. No prob.

Support@Seestar What is this document telling me? Firstly, it only shows up to App V2.5. No V2.6 New Function is shown.

marvindj The main updates in version 2.6 include the addition of 4K image quality support, as well as some setting adjustments and bug fixes.

Hello Seestar team,
some users of our astronomy forum are complaining about the loud motor noise of the S50 after the last upgrade. Some also speak of a faster running speed. Can you confirm this?

Barsoom I had this same issue intially as well. It went away after I updated the S50 firmware to the latest version. My guess is it has to do with how the new version saves Solar/terrestrial images to the Seestar instead of saving to Pictures on the phone.
This is a new feature I'm not crazy about - I'd prefer if this was an option to save either to Seestar or Phone, or both?

Yes, we will keep both of them in the future.

PlayStore issue for tablets has been already fixed.

Another issue since V2.6 update, solar photos not being saved to device (iPad) and the image that is saved to the seestar is a red screen, videos seem to be ok but they also arent saved to the device, attached is the solar image saved to the seestar
The latest update has made my S50 pretty limited in it's abilities.

Garin This has to do with Flats. Since the previous update, factory provided Flats are implemented without the option of no-Flats. If they do not match the optics of your Seestar, the only way to change it is to use the Flat-Shoot-function and create your own Flats. ZWO is (still) resistant to make the use of Flats optional. There is no need for Flats.

I'm glad that the update can now be delayed.

However, regarding:
"Fixed known bugs"
Apparently a VERY ANNOYING BUG has not been fixed. This is the automatic autofocus bug. I have a good focus setting stored. Thus, when I startup the Seestar, it is ALREADY in focus. But when I go to shoot, after it takes calibration frames, it autofocuses. This wastes time and usually results in a less precise focus. Thus, I need to correct the autofocus.

Please restore the option to skip autofocus. (Until several months ago, we could skip this often useless feature.)

I don't think saving the solar and scenery images just to the Seestar is an 'upgrade'.
You should consider having an option for those images to be saved to both the device storage and the Seestar.
