I completely understand why you’re asking.
However, I also need to let you know that Seestar uses hardware decoding by default, and whether you’ll need to switch to software decoding depends entirely on the specific device model (and sometimes even on the OS version).
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to clearly say “this brand is fine” or “that brand will need software decoding”, because:
even within the same brand, some models use different video chipsets;
some devices work perfectly in hardware mode, while others from the same brand may require software decoding.
