Just wanted to check if my issue, is just a coincidence orter has anyone else had this problem

After I attached to the ASIAIR I ran the update including the firmware. Whilst I was setting my plan I noticed that the cooling (ASI 533MC PRO) was acting strange, it got down to -8C then the temp started increasing.
As the setup is permanent I went out to check the camera and the fan had stopped working and the whole unit was getting hot, so turned off and now trying to find the problem.

make ASIAir version 2.1.2 available properly as a permanent installation for iOS with no time-limit, via Apple's App Store - not via TestFlight - so that we can use our gear indefinitely, while you
fire your developer, hire a new one, and sort out your mess
tell us all in a year or two when its done.

Otherwise we have no choice but to walk away (ie buy a Windows NUC).

I'd also suggest you learn something about the way to estimate the time to develop and fix software using Function Point Counting. A rough Function Point Count of the app indicates it isn't going to be fixed anytime soon. Could take a year or more IMHO.

Luxo i've been using 2.3.1 since it was made available (air plus new version with eaf, 2600mc pro and 120mm mini (NO CAA), and am3) without any major issues (fingers crossed). I mainly use plans but all of the functions (the ones i use) seem ok to me. I certainly don't use every possible function but 2.3.1 sure gets me good images!

PMTeam@ZWO the only logs I see are in relation to a session, when I noticed this, I did not do a session, as I shut it down, didn't want any additional unnecessary damage!

Exactly what new features are in the EAF FIRMWARE UPDATE. Is it only really for the new EAF PRO?

svjim This function means that the EAF firmware can be upgraded through the ASIAIR APP. It is applicable to EAF and EAF PRO released in 2025.

PMTeam@ZWO When will the filter type be added to the fits header? It's been several years since you said it was planned, and still nothing. Is this really part of your plan, or are you just saying this to please us users?

@PMTeam@ZWO Apart from the filter in the FITS header setting the filter manually for us with manual filter sliders/wheels as well please. This was also promised years ago.

I reported an EAF bug with 2.4.1 in this forum and uploaded a bug report in the app. But I have not seen it commented on. Please advise on the status, was it found, is it being worked, has it been fixed?

The bug involves the EAF auto focus routine not being able to find a suitable star. This occurs intermittently, despite all conditions being suitable to find a focus star. Manually repeating the AF will often succeed, but I can’t use AF reliably in Plan mode as it will fail about half the time.

I’m using a D5300 camera. I’ve experienced this issue with two different setups, with two scopes, two EAFs (12V and 5V), and Air+ and Air mini. This occurs intermittently when the system is in good focus to begin with, on very clear nights with plenty of stars. This started occurring with 2.4.1, AF worked perfectly in Plan mode prior.

Please advise on status of this bug.

9Ej7KtYy if you're after an exact date of when the, I'm assuming Canon R8, will be added to the ASIAIR Firmware then I highly doubt @PMTeam@ZWO or @Tech@ZWO can help you there.
