NINA and AM5N with Bluetooth Connection - Problem in Framing Tab

I have encountered a problem with the AM5N working with NINA. I am connecting via Bluetooth - the ASIMount app comes up and everything connects normally. Back in NINA in the Equipment>Mount tab I can control the mount normally - slewing, E/W/N/S, Home etc. However when I go to the Framing tab - if I select a target and click on "Slew" nothing happens - no movement or beep from the mount.

If I connect to the AM5N via WiFi or direct with USB the Framing tab works fine - so the problem seems to be localized to a Bluetooth connection to the mount. Running Windows 11, Latest version of NINA, most recent ASCOM and ASI drivers. I also just updated the AM5N mount firmware to 1.7.7

Edit: I will add that I have been using the AM5N with ASIAir over bluetooth and that hasn't given me any problems at all

I can confirm, that this does not work. You need to connect to the mount via USB.

Thank you for the response. Wifi seems to work also - bit of a pain tho - need to add another wifi adapter 😉

Same issue with the AM3. The problem is that if you use the ASI Mount with ASCOM drivers, it seems bluetooth is not syncing local time and location.

The workaround I found is either first connect it using bluetooth in ASI Studio, this will sync the local time, then connect to NINA with the ASI Mount program. This should work.

Otherwise, I'll use my mobile to connect to the mount WiFi and use the ASI SkyAtlas app to connect to the mount, then it will sync the local time and location, and connect to the mount using bluetooth with the ASI Mount program and NINA.

I also opened a ticket for that, but didn't get a satisfying answer yet.
