Write speed to disk AA+ vs AA mini

My Mini writes images to disk at least 10X faster than my AA+. On infrequent occasion the AA+ writes have taken >2 minutes and backed up the actual captures. I'm looking for suggestions as to how to troubleshoot this problem.

Since the Mini is USB2 vs USB3 for the AA+, slower writes with AA+ from my ASI533MC are unexpected.

I just used a wifi repeater last night so a wifi problem is not likely the culprit.

Tonight it took 60-70 secs to write a sub to emmc.. Someone suggested that it could be poor WiFi. I set up a WiFi repeater. Tonight I replaced the antenna with the one from the ASIAIR Mini but nothing changed. Previously I reinstalled ASIAIR.

I don't see how WiFi can be the problem.

stubblejumper try copying a file from a PC to the AA+, if that's also slow then it's possible the emmc flash disk is faulty or failing.

franco Great idea. I just copied 10 subs from my laptop to the AA+ in 30secs, over a USB2 cable.

So it doesn't look like emmc is the problem.

I had to switch cables to AA+ and Win11 flagged a problem and I asked Win11 to fix it. However that was the second time I connected a cable. The first time it connected without a whimper.

Last night AA+ took as long as 120 sec to write to disk. I gave up and switched to my Mini. The writes were 1sec..

The AA+ will sit on my equipment shelf. Shipping it ZWO will be very costly and repair costs unknown. If I decide I need a more powerful AA, I'll buy an AA+ 256GB from a local supplier, when they get one in stock.

Or buy a See50 or Dwarf 3..
