How do Seestar S50 filters work and how to use other filters

My Seestar S50 has two filters - the LP for emission nebula and the IRCUT for galaxies. The sky atlas has a reference for the recommended filter for its objects and if I select and go-to that object the recommended filter is turned on for stacking.
If I pause stacking and turn that one off, is the other one automatically applied or is there then no filter applied?
I would like to try using some of my other filters with the Seestar (I have a holder).
I presume I would have better results in combination with the IRCUT if I can't turn it completely off?

Hi Stephen,
Your understanding is correct. When you start imaging, the dark frame filter will be automatically applied, and the IRCUT filter will remain on. You can manually turn on the dual narrowband LP filter, and in that case, the IRCUT filter will be automatically turned off.

How could IRCUT be turned off when there are only two filters in filter assembly Dark and LP and IRCUT is actually a protective glass on the sensor??

ZWO says there are three filters, Dark, LP and IRCUT. The Dark filter is controlled internally by the app, you cannot control it yourself and it would serve no purpose to do that anyway. So you have two options, with LP filter or without it, which is called IRCUT state. There is no "no filter" condition, so when you use an external filter your only choice is to turn the LP filter off and you get your filter plus the IRCUT filter. If you were planning to do near IR imaging that will not work very well.
