1.Spatial leveling calibration is required beforehand, as the mosaic relies on stars for parsing. The number of stars must not be fewer than 20; otherwise, parsing may fail, resulting in dropped image stacking.
2.Longer exposure time for single images can produce better results, but it also increases the likelihood of discarded frames. For example, any unexpected occurrence during a 20-second exposure (e.g., star trails) will make the image unusable and result in its discard.
3.Check if there are star trails in your single images. If present, determine whether they existed from the beginning or appeared after running for some time.
4.Dropped images during stacking can also be influenced by environmental factors, such as wind, ground vibrations, or obstructions like clouds in the sky. Additionally, you can upload the original FIT images for me to analyze the cause.
