Only Save FITS not individual Jpegs

i can’t see a way in the sub folder to only save FITS i seem to get 2 jpeg and a FITS and I only need the FITS so end up deleting them.

[unknown] Saving the JPEGs into a separate folder, or not at all, has been requested MANY times by MANY people on this forum. Can you please just finally implement that option? We request this for good reasons: ease of use and because the JPEGs really are useless for image processing. Thank you for finally listening to your customers.

If the phone is not connected to the Seestar WiFi after enhancement is completed, the JPG will not be saved to the phone. If FITS format is required, it needs to be manually exported from the Seestar storage via a computer. Through the APP - Albums, click to download, which will convert it to JPG format and save it to the phone's gallery

Tech@ZWO But that is not the point. It would be MUCH easier if all FITS files can be copied at once instead of having to select the file format first. This has been explained MANY times on this forum as well so please finally listen to your customers and make that possible.

Without jpg, the SeeStar app would be useless since both the thumb and full image are used for presentation within the app. How hard is it to sort by filetype, select the fits and either copy or move them? I suspect it is certainly much easier to do that than obtaining proficiency with steep learning curve software(s).

The use of jpg are actually required for the myriad of customers who only edit within the SeeStar app. Using jpg versions of subs within the app to decide which images to keep or cull is much easier than fits after export.

This may be a case where the requests/demands of a few vocal customers exceed the need of many happy customers.

KatNRick Having the JPEGS in a separate folder would not prevent you from doing what you want to do.

I would also like to see the option to not save any JPEGs in the Seestar's internal storage since I do not use them for anything anyway. I only need the final stacked image and the individual fits files.

Nor does keeping all files together affect external manipulation. I just can't comprehend why sorting, copy/paste files is such an ordeal as some people make it to be.

KatNRick Even in windows selecting all .jpg and press delete is simple :-) and as long as these images is needed for the app i would say its better to implement more useful functions. So i agree that its not much extra work doing this on the computer.
