Battery drain on Android

I noticed multiple times that my phone battery gets drained very fast and it overheats when I turn off the screen while on the Sky Atlas view.
Yesterday I went to bed with more than half of the battery on the Sky Atlas view, turned off the screen and this morning my phone was dead.
Here's the battery usage report:

Does the SeeStar remain running during sleep mode? If not, you can safely exit the software next time to conserve your phone's battery.

Tech@ZWO The Seestar wasn't even on, I was just checking something in Sky Atlas, turned off my screen and the battery drained all night. The app shouldn't run in background when the screen is off. The app should listen to Android life cycle changes and stop doing stuff accordingly.

Sylvain44 When you are not using the device, it is recommended to exit the software. The software will then enter a silent state, but it will still send signals to verify the device's status.
