Optimizations
Q: How does the remote setup work?
A:
- The device registers with the server to join the “Telescope Network” (the server does not access any of your imaging data; it only detects the device’s online status to assist in establishing a remote connection and obtains the device’s location for initiating GOTO commands).
- Once the device is online, the APP status changes to “online,” and a connection can be initiated.
- When a connection is initiated, the APP requests the device to establish a remote connection.
- A remote connection is then established through both networks. The stability and availability of the networks directly affect whether the connection is successful.
Q: Is the data encrypted?
A: Yes, all data transmitted during the “Telescope Network” connection process is encrypted.
Q: How does the remote service connect back to the local device?
A: You can manually disconnect the device on the Telescope Network webpage and then select the device for direct connection from the home page. We plan to further optimize the connection method between remote and local devices in the future.
