ASIAIR 2.5 beta

On 27 November ZWO released the 2.5 Beta version of asiair, I am using it with AM3, ASI533MC Pro and ASI662MC and it works fine. Tested aurorun, live capure, manual focus, preview mode, plate solving and polar alignemnt, WIFI and wired connection. So far everything fine!

Well well. That's interesting (and also annoying that, yet again, ZWO didn't annouce it in the forums... sigh).

While point 1 is for ASIMount only (AM3(N)/AM5(N)) what is of interest is:
Point 9: Support temporarily skipping firmware upgrade
Poiint 10: Create and Manage Frequently Used Equipment Positions from the Home Page

Point 9 will hopefully stopped the multiple "forced firmware update" posts.

Point 10 will be great if it means easilly setting positions to take Flats (for example) as well setting a position to Park the scope when using a non-ASIMount.

Corsair on the Android side we neither got an announcement or a betafile (i couldn't find one), so it could be worse..

Very nice! Lots if feature requests that will get fulfilled. Sort of early Christmas. Hopefully the overall quality is back at high level. Thanks ZWO!

Yeah. Unfortunately the beta hasn't been made public for Android for some reason.

Corsair until recently this site did not require a password. i used it frequently to watch ZWO's progress regarding new android updates.

I’m pretty deep with the MiniPC/NINA route now, but it’s good to hear ZWO is making progress again. It’s always good to have a plan B when dealing with Windoze🤣

The last link they provided for the 2.4.2 beta that works with TestFlight only shows the 2.4.4 beta here. I don't know how did you get the 2.5 beta, if there is another link to this version to try. Any clue?

I still only see 2.4.9 available in TestFlight.

paulitoweb ~~strange, i see version 2.4.9 Build 4, not 2.5. Maybe there’s some location-based restriction.~~

Edit: just this very moment it shows 2.5 (21) for me. Maybe it was more cache related

Edit2: Build 25 is available now. ZWO PMs recently added a new thread announcing 2.5 and then quickly removed it again.

Thanks for the link Paolo, installing on my MacBook Air, which shows the app as "ASIAir 2.5B".

Might give it a try on the weekend if the weather obliges.
