BBrotas Yes, it's possible to fully control the Seestar with Skysafari. Select it as the Meade LX200 Classic; it's easy, there are tutorials online. Tested and it works.

AstroRoom A quick look at this video and it's out of date. Latest firmware simply scan for alpaca devices and the SS camera will be shown as available. But SkySafari 7 seems to only surface the SS camera. Nothing else. SkySafari 8 looks as though more control via alpaca is available but haven't tried it.

It works for se 30 and se 30 pro. latest firmware and app 2/21/26
you have to be on the seestar local wifi, not your home
that means no internet on the ios host device while connected
buti it works - tested mac and ipad ssp 7

Well, the SkySafari 8 Pro now works better with the Seestar. It’s not perfect yet, but the future looks promising. 😛

The Alpaca Drive is still in demo mode, but it works. I think we’re getting closer to what the Celestron Origin offers.

May I have two questions:

What purpose is the new "Show Seestar Assistant" option for? I could not notice any change when it is enabled or disabled.
Is in this version already included the "green halo around medium brightness stars" bugfixing?

It's the starry cartoonish character thing which appears in sky atlas when you press goto to some known object and starts to tell you about it.

My S50 app can't find the Moon now, before it could. What can I do to make it work again ? There is another recent problem : the AI Denoise for Deep sky objects makes the image green after stacking. Thanks you in advance.

Hi, thank you so much for your work. It would be nice to be able to manage the lights and flats directly from the Seestar app. I would therefore say that the file needs to be made and perhaps add the Dark filter, adding the folders for the various multisessions. Thanks.

After this release, I cannot use in EQ mode, I can’t align in EQ mode. I adjust the level, do compass calibration, and level sensor calibration again, but it either fails or the Wi-Fi connection drops. Then it takes me 5 minutes to reconnect to the device. Reset devices multiple times, manually set the location, still cannot use the EQ mode :/ any help would be great

Utku Hello! For those experiencing issues after the update, especially with EQ mode, my advice is to first switch to Scenery Mode, focus on a specific area, and adjust the focus settings there. Then switch back to EQ mode. This method helps because alignment only seems to work properly after focusing in Scenery Mode and then returning to EQ mode. Hopefully, this gets fixed in the next version.

Hi, is anyone having trouble taking deep sky photos with the latest firmware build 6.7 update?.
My Seestar camera can't focus on deep-sky photos, and it discards all the photos it takes, saying there are no stars and the sky is completely clear.

Miguel Sabuz Did you perform any AF during your imaging session? If the screen remained blank the whole time, did you submit the log?

Leo395 The only way to contact ZWO is to raise a support ticket either through your Seestar and submit the log file or via this form. Be mindful that Chinese new year is approaching soon and they close down for 2 weeks. But apart from that you'll be very lucky to get an answer to your questions as there are so many other issues with this software/firmware that are still to be answered.
