Frame Dropping & Blur: Users report that the S30 Pro can drop an excessive number of frames compared to the S30, sometimes nearly triple. Images may be blurry even when the app marks them as "good".
LP Filter Failure: A common issue reported is that the S30 Pro works fine with the clear filter but fails, rejects, or freezes when the Light Pollution (LP) filter is engaged.
Tracking and Star Trails: Reports indicate that even with short exposures (e.g., 5s), the tracking can be poor, resulting in trailing stars.
Firmware/Software Issues: Recent updates have been reported to cause auto-imaging to skip necessary calibration steps, such as autofocusing.
Cold Weather Performance: The autofocus may fail and the system may act up in temperatures around 12degs.
Image Artifacts: Some users have observed black, moving spots on their images, particularly after software updates.
Mechanical Noise: Strange noises have been reported, possibly related to motor behavior in EQ mode.
