Thanks - one other aspect of the suggestion at https://bbs.zwoastro.com/d/25221-asiair-duo-cameras-guide-sensor-field is that it would make the CAA a lot more attractive to use. Ideally with a "manual rotation only" option in the CAA settings.
I upgraded to 2.5.2 and was able to run one of my rigs (with a 2600mm Air) for a few hours the other night, I did not have any disconnects and didn't have any image download errors which have plagued my imaging sessions for the last several weeks. One thing I have noticed is that I have crank the guide sensor gain all the way up with my 7nm h-alpha/6.3nm Sii/6nm O3 filters. I don't recall having to push the guide sensor gain so high just to find stars with these filters before. With galaxy season here it seems foolish to try and do any h-alpha or narrowband imaging of a galaxy for supplemental data given how few stars there can be around many galaxy targets.
Eric Eric, this is why I have an APO to use as a piggyback guidescope in case I cannot find guide stars in the DUO.
The other advantage is that its field is large enough that after a meridian flip ASIAir is certain to acquire guide stars without manual intervention.
No Problems with Asiair or my other ZWO Equipment ( Asiair, EAF, ASI2600MC Pro, ASI585MC Pro, Guiding ASI220MM Mini, Friendly Greetings Walter
So no new cameras?
To me, it seems that the problems of very low preview download speed and the inconsistency of the meridian flip have been resolved. The small inconvenience of the missing circular exposure time indicator, which stops halfway, still remains.
