You're out of luck, there's no way to role back the software or firmware. As starnet59 said it has been an ongoing request from all the Seestar owners to have the ability to roll-back to a previous version since day one.

Don't install version 3.3.0 it's full of bugs, tried it last night error after error. Tried it on several different targets last night on a very clear sky, within minutes it started to error (not enough stars detected) then would restart shooting the same target and again a few minutes later same message. Next issue is AI enhancing, ran this on the few frame it did collect and it starts processing and then the screen goes blank and the app crashes, when checking the logs nothing is stored for the issue.
Come on ZWO you've released another pile of dung that make your product useless.....

Tried the new version 3.3.0 on tracking the sun on my S30, failed miserably, couldn't if find the sun even though I lined it up using the wide angle lens just moved off target and did it's own thing for 10 mins then nicely told me 'Failed to located target'. Manually centered the sun and in the narrow angle lens, tracked for a couple of minutes then drifted off target.
Not happy, has anyone at ZWO actually tested the new release 3.3.0 to see if it works?
Once again they have let us down.

I used it for solar observing today. I never let Seestar find the sun on it's own. I got a solar finder that mounts on my S50 and I use that. Once I get it in view on the screen, I turn on Center Target and it keeps the Sun in view and tracks just fine and did so today as well. It was upgraded to version 3.3.0 and updated the firmware.
What stinks for me is that I often shoot a video of the Sun in Raw mode and then stack the video. I tends to give me an image with more detail - however, after stacking, I went to edit the resulting image and the image editing tools (brightness, sharpness, crop, etc.) are gone in 3.3.0! ZWO - bring back the image editing tools!

Now I'm getting a message saying that my tablet may be insufficient to run AI enhancement!
It worked perfectly fine with previous version, are ZWO now saying that we have to buy a new device to run the lastest version 3.3.0?
My tablet worked fine before and has no problem with my Dwarf 3
Come on ZWO is there no a minimum spec for a device

Hi, I'm having the same problem with two devices: one with 4GB and one with 4+2GB of RAM.
After contacting ZWO, they said they would look into it, but they recommend devices with 8GB of RAM.
Either the smartphone crashes, or the editing window shows a black screen. Or there are artifacts.

Please direct me to where I can tun on my Dew heater. I can't find it in this new version.

Chas It's been moved to the imaging drop-down controls, e.g. setting exposure length etc. Don't know why it's there now. I spent ages trying to find it.

I found the dew filter heater when I pick a single target but when I construct a plan the option of gettinng to the imaging drop-down controls, e.g. setting exposure length etc is not available. Is there a way to get to this menu when creating a plan for a session. Thanks

Ok, so the new AI Enhancement gives more options and control but produces horrible results on globular clusters. I'll need to stick to doing my own processing. And I'm seeing labelling errors where the watermark writes the wrong identifier, e.g. 'NGC104' when it's actually 'NGC6744'.

Sorry I ment your tablet or phone. The reason I ask is that on the new version 3.3.0 they AI enhancing fails on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite saying "Performace May Be Insufficient" and the app crashes. This is something new, looks like ZWO have changed something that stops some devices from running the AI enhancement.

ZWO may now have a minimum spec for devices to run this new app and have'nt told people yet and expect us to go out and buy another device.

My Samsung specs are;
Core Specifications Processor: MediaTek MT8768T (Helio P22T) Octa-core (4x 2.3GHz & 4x 1.8GHz)
3Gb RAM - 32Gb Storage
Display: 8.7-inch TFT LCD with 1340 × 800 pixel resolution (179 ppi)
Memory & Storage: 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, expandable up to 1TB via microSD card

Seestar_S50 Sorry, I use IOS 26.5. iPhone 16 Pro. No issues in terms of App crashes. The AI enhancement feature works, just seems hard to get a decent result. Otherwise, slight increase in the number of dropped images (20 sec) but nothing significant. WiFi does seem to be worse as it constantly loses connection.

Chas Since the installation of the new firmware, because of the weather, I had no chance to use the Seestar. But it would be really a disaster, if one can not switch on the dew heater before the execution of the plan.

Selard In the latest version of AI Enhancement feature, various enhancement parameters have been made available for users to adjust freely. Different parameter settings may result in different enhancement effects. This feature will continue to be improved and refined through future updates. If you would like to achieve a sharper image result for example, we suggest trying to increase the “Denoise” parameter, which may provide a better enhancement effect.

Regarding the frame drop issue, based on your description, the drop rate is still within an acceptable range, which is normal behavior in Seestar's theodolite tracking mode.This is because Seestar performs a quality assessment on each subframe during live stacking. If star trails are detected in a subframe, tracking deviations are found, or the image quality is substandard, that frame is automatically excluded from the stacking calculation. This is to ensure the quality of the final stacked image.

Regarding your mention of constantly losing Wi-Fi connection，most‑often this is caused by 2.4GHz‑band interference. Please restart Seestar and your phone, reconnect after forgetting previous Wi‑Fi profile. If it still does not help, submit the app log so our developers can investigate.

OK, on today I have had my first Seestar session (no plan mode) after the installation of the new 3.3.0 firmware. And sure enough, you have to turn on the dew heater in the exposure settings.

It would be nice to know, how we should comfortably activate the dew heater now before activating a plan?

pscharff To make it easier for users to quickly enable the Anti-Dew function when dew is detected during observation and imaging, this feature has been moved to the shooting mode. Please note that the Anti-Dew function can be turned on at any time, even when you are not actively capturing images. Once enabled, it will remain active even after you exit the shooting mode, unless you manually turn it off. Therefore, you only need to turn on the Anti-Dew switch before activating a plan, and it will remain active throughout the imaging session.

So with latest version of software 3.3.0 ZWO now say that there is a minimum spec for devices to run the software!!! This is after its been reported that AI Enhancement crashes on some devices.
OK so what are the minimum specs of a device to run you software? I can't find any mention of minimum hardware specs to run the app.... please let's us know so we can all go out and buy a new tablet or phone to run it, what a shambles 😫

I’m sorry, but my opinion is that these days, an Android device with only 3GB of RAM is barely able to function on its own… And now you want to run AI operations on it that are truly demanding—both in terms of processor performance and memory capacity.
On the other hand, I agree that ZWO should specify somewhere what device specifications are required to run this kind of software.

In my opinion, it would have been essential to provide information about the new update and the required specifications, especially since the update cannot be undone.
I was very satisfied with the AI editing feature and wouldn't have needed the 3.3.0 version.
Now it no longer works on two devices.
