I’m honestly quite disappointed with how ASIAIR 3.0.0 has been handled.
This was a major update, with big changes to both the app and firmware, released right in the middle of the busiest imaging season. Bugs happen with releases like this — that’s normal — but you also expect quick follow-up fixes and an active team responding to problems.
Instead, almost a month later we’re still on 3.0.0, with users reporting freezes, connection issues, failed exposures, guiding problems and even apparent reboots. The silence from ZWO is disappointing.
ASIAIR’s biggest strength is that it removes friction and makes astrophotography feel simple. That’s why people like it. But if major updates start making it less reliable, and fixes take too long, people will eventually start looking elsewhere.
ZWO really needs to get on top of this quickly and communicate better.
