I used AUTORUN yes, briefly on a couple of targets - M16 and NGC5128, just 10 x 30s subs on each just to watch the guiding. M16 was quite close to the zenith, so no excuses it was as good as it could be.
The guiding was already clearly poor, to the extent I wanted to compare definitely with 2.5.2 and 2.3.3 - I used three devices iPhone, iPad and MacBook) with the three versions pre-loaded to save downloading them each time so switching between them is only a matter of resetting the firmware.
When testing this sort of thing and the behaviour/performance is different it is always worth doing a before-and-after comparison to be sure it wasn't just a fluke.
I experienced the 3.0.0 app freezing again, several times and the sequence to restart and reconnect increasingly annoying. ZWO really need to think about a saving the settings somewhere so the app skips all the options next time to make reconnecting simpler.
I'm still really puzzled about how it can work fine one night, yet the next is a catastrophe of disconnects and crashes.
All I used was autofocus, PA, a couple of GOTO's with plate solves, and AUTORUN. That's all.
