废话!这个问题快一年了你们都不想解决的 !In the last few versions 个屁!你这个意思就是说还要等多少年呢?我对你们已经没什么好感。
This past Saturday, I ran the whole night under the new beta asiair plus release (v1.9.1) with my Z6ii as the main camera. Everything worked flawlessly - test shots, plate solve, plan runs, etc. I tested on 3 different targets, and played around with multiple sub times - 30 seconds, 1 min, 3 min, 5 min etc. All the images showed up on screen, in bin1, and were stored on my z6ii as well. MUCH improved from the live release, where I had the same issues as described above.
Hi ! I’m very interested in your results.
My Z6II work on the ASIAIR. But there’s a delay between the shutter release in app and the camera actually starting to take the photo.
Let’s say you choose a 30 seconds exposure. When you press on the exposure button in the app you will wait 12 more seconds before the camera react.
So a 30 seconds exposure = 30s + 12s = 42s in total.
Yes it’s usable but it’s not working flawlessly for me, especially if you have to PA in these conditions. I use 2 other Nikon cameras (D500 and D5600) and the react immediately when you press on the exposure button. Could you please test this for me and tell me how long your Z6II takes before actually starting the exposure. Thank you !
Lain402 To be honest, I'm brand new to the hobby and this was my first time using any of the gear (new mount, asiair plus, guide scope, etc). That said, I did notice occasional minor delays, but I don't think it was to that level (that i recall at least). When I was watching the plan in action, I do recall there being a short delay after the asiair said a sub was done and the camera "clicked" that it was done the shot. I feel like it was closer to 3-5 seconds though, and chalked that up to new user learning. If that doesn't happen with your other Nikons, maybe there's still some work to be done.
Aside from that - I didn't even try to use the z6ii for PA. I swapped to using my guide scope as main cam for that, as the Z6ii image copy time alone would make that near impossible (3-4 secs xfer per shot). When it was plate solving, there was definitely not a delay between when it took a shot and when the solve started.
When I get some more time, I'll try connecting the camera again and do that test.
When I played around in Focus mode just now, there was a delay on the first shot only. For a 1 second exposure, it took about 10 seconds to start the first pic, but after that i was getting a snap every 5 seconds (shot + transfer to the asiair). When I changed that to 10s exposure, it had a similar ramp up time, and then I was getting a shot every 15 seconds (shot + transfer).
Attention to the time: sometimes a poor connection in the app shows what already happened in the gear

I’ve just tested the last ASIAIR firmware update (1.9.1.9.97) and once again nothing has been done to fix the bug that causes the Nikon Z6II being so slow when connected to the ASIAIR !
We still have to wait 12 seconds before the actual exposure starts in camera when others Nikon DSLR reacts immediately. Maybe it’s a special feature that I don’t understand…
They claim that this camera is SUPPORTED and TESTED (see the official ZWO list for supported Cameras ), I can’t believe they tested it and still can’t solve this ridiculous issue after almost ONE YEAR !! (The first report about this issue was posted on August 2021 !) When asked why they replied that they were short on money to test all the cameras they claim to support !
Each update release I hope they’ve done something about it and every time it’s a disappointment. Of course, I’m fully aware that I’m far from being the only one waiting for this team of broken harms to fix an issue with what they sold me as a finished product ! I read posts from others customers having issues with the ASIAIR and the more I read, the more I realize that, contrary to what they advertised, the camera that I bought especially to use it with the ASIAIR won’t likely be fully supported in the future. So I have only one choice : investing in a dedicated astro-camera.
Fine, but it won’t be a ZWO one ! Enough of my time and money has been wasted on this company.
PS: @tech@zwo I’ve also noticed you deleted your post about your company “not having the budget to test all supported cameras “ of your list. What a pathetic move dude !

Could you reproduce the problem and then upload the log in ASIAIR APP? (About -> feedback.)
Our devs will analyze it.
In addition, could you take a photo to show us the SD card you used in Z6 II? and the main camera settings page in the ASIAIR APP.
Thank you very much.
We are so sorry the problem has been solved, our ASIAIR team is working on it.

Hi !
1/ I’ve just uploaded the log from the ASIAIR app after reproducing the issue.
2/ Here is the SD card I use in my Z6II :
3/ This is the “main camera settings page in the ASIAIR APP” :
4/ I’ve uploaded a video on YouTube so you can see how slow is the app when connected to the Z6II:
Remember, I’ve been using others DSLR with the ASIAIR for years, without any problem. Everything is working smoothly.
But with the Z6II the ASIAIR is too slow to work with. Imagine having to PA or Autofocus with a 12 seconds delay ! When you press on the trigger button in the app, the ASIAIR first waits 12 seconds. Only after 12 seconds it’s start taking the photo. 12s + the selected exposure time ! Of course the timer is completely off as it starts immediately after you pressed the button.
It doesn’t do this with my NIKON D500 or my NIKON D5600a. Both cameras reacts immediately and start taking the photo without any delay, the timer is always accurate. I use my D5600a very often, it works flawlessly. The D500 also works as expected.
I’m pretty sure it’s not a SD card issue, it does the same with other brands. The SD I use in my Z6II is an original product bought on the Amazon’s official SANDISK store.
Please, check the data I’ve uploaded, check my photos and watch the video I’ve uploaded on YouTube. 不敢F墙的话我可以用微信发给你们视频!

Hi Lain,
Our tech analyzed your log, one of the control interface takes two seconds caused this problem. We haven't seen it before, and we also done lots of tests recently, but didn't reproduce this problem.
Did you try different cables? and restore factory settings in DSLR settings to try.

I use the original data cable from Nikon, the one that was in the Z6II box. I’ve tried another cable before, same issue. Here is the cable from Nikon that I use with this camera:
Any way, I’ll reset the camera later today and I’ll try again without touching anything in the camera parameters.
Did you watch the video I made to show you the issue. It’s clearly not just a 2 seconds delay :
Please notice that other Z6II users also report this abnormal behavior of the camera when connected to the ASIAIR :
chrisastro When I played around in Focus mode just now, there was a delay on the first shot only. Take some time to read other Z6II users posts up here and watch my video. Remember, we are not talking about a version 1. Z6. This issue is happening with the Z6 version 2 (Z6二代). Take an actual Z6II and test it.

-I’ve just factory reset my Nikon Z6II.
-Disabled the Wifi and Bluetooth.
-I’ve also formatted the SD card.
-I’m using the official data cable from Nikon.
Then I connected it to my ASIAIR Pro via the Nikon Z6II official data cable and… it’s exactly the same ! Same issue with my ASIAIR PLUS.
Here is another video to show you the behavior of the camera :
https://youtube.com/shorts/9LttURaN9eU?feature=share
You can clearly see the long delay before the camera react. The timer is also completely wrong.
I’m sending you the logs right now.
