w7ay my yard is 30’ E to W and 12’ N to S, when I rotate Dec 60 degree either east or west the scope is facing the wall of my house. I have no clear view to the north anywhere, I can’t polar align anything north if I have to rotate 60 degree on the Dec. The only way I can polar align is using the HC’s all star polar alignment by choice a star close to the meridian and celestial equator. I have had long Conversation with Celestron tech-support on this issue and that’s what they advised me to do.
I didn’t have a guide scope with I have the C8 on the same AVX mount, I was doing 60” sub unguided with the C8 and ASIAir, no star trails, round stars no walking noise and same alignment procedure I always use with star sense and ASPA on the HC. I did not anticipate the walking noise with RASA, because I never seen one until I got the RASA.
I just finish with M64 and moving on to M104, guiding was ok for a while then the seeing must gone bad, so I switch to single star guide on a bright star and it stabilized. Then some how without any input from me it switch back to multi star guiding, the guiding was still stable so I left a alone until it was done.
