I hope this also solve the Nexstar6SE mount connection issue. Does this fix suppose to be embeded in the next update for ASIAIR APP for IOS? Or it's already there since I still get the connection problem with my Nextstar mount.

Where can I find the production date for my EQ6-R Pro mount?

Hi, I'm still having the issue where the eq6-r won't connect. Was this fixed in the main software release, or I still need to make a new card? Thanks!

I have the same problem with a brand new Starsense HC that won't connect to the AAP, I download the img file and restore to the SD card on both PC and Mac. The restored SD card have all 60 flies visible on the root of the SD card and it won't boot. I can restore my old backup image with no problem but this 0806_OS img it won't restore correctly. Does anyone know how do I fix this or is there another img file somewhere I can download?

Well I've answered my question. I had to restore the OS from the link to a new SD card, after that the ASIAIR pro detected the EQ6-r without issue. It seems the Regular OS stream still doesn't have the drivers. Hopefully ZWO can fix this issue soon considering that the Prolific chips are now on many products.

@Skylab1 : I've followed the instructions from ZWO via the Win32 disk manager. I've used a new SanDisk 64GB micro SD card.

charles18 I am with you on ZWO need update the driver on the next update or the next beta. I am down until that happen unless I go back to the laptop.

is there anyway you can upload that OS image you have to a cloud drive temporary so I can try it. The one I download from the google drive link won’t restore correctly and I don’t know why. I can restore my own backup AAP OS without any problem but not the one ZWO posted.

Skylab1 It's unfortunately exactly the same file. I've downloaded it yesterday from the link at the top page, so perhaps something got corrupted during your download. If you are not using a SanDisk card I would try that as well; I've read that some other people had similar issue due to the card brand. Also, in the Win32 Disk Imager I didn't select the 'Read only' option.

If all fails, I would contact ZWO directly. Perhaps they can send you a new SD card that works properly.

charles18 how many files is on the root of the SD card you just finished?

I just did restore again on 2 different SD card and they both show 60 + files on the root of both cards.

I used win10 and W32 disc imager.

maudette unfortunately Celestron CGEM don’t have USB on the mount you must use the HC, until ZWO include the driver in the next regular update or beta I am stuck. Unless some how I fix the SD card problem which at the moment I have no idea how.

johnnyderskeptiker don’t expect any update until after 10/8. China still on their week long vacation plus the rolling black out they have, I’ll be very surprised if they had an update by end of next week.

i have the same problem, a lot of people seems to have. I use 2 Asiair 1. Now I have bought a Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro. To now, I have used a Celestron CGEMII and a Celestron AVX. Both have USB on the hand controller and with both I can use my asiair via USB directly (out of the box).

Now with the EQ6 nothing happens, no USB Device could be connected, when I try to connect the mount. I have read the chats here, but im not so good in computer stuff and I don't understand everything. Someone wrote, that the ASIAIR 1 can not connect with the USB from the new EQ6.

Is this correct? Is there no chance to use the USB port of the mount or of the HC?

I have made a software-update of the app yesterday, but the problem is still there.

Pascal: I do the connection directly from the AIR to the EQ6-R USB-Port and use no hand controller. Important to set the speed to 115000! But I have the PRO. But with the 1 should also be possible!

I have the celestron AVX mount . With the suggestion for a change of operating system, I followed the instructions, I installed the new operating system on a 64GB card and my connection problem with the ASIAIR PRO was solved immediately. Thank you very much. Another problem is polar alignment. I try to do the procedure at her house and I fail. I should probably follow the procedures suggested by the ASIAIR PRO.

corfu What software do you use to burn the image? I have tried both Mac and PC with 32 and 64GB tf card, the end result still the same all 60 files are visible on the root of the SD card and the card is not bootable.

I have a new EQ6-R Pro with the USB port. I downloaded the OS image from the link pinned to the top of the page and flashed it to a 64GB SanDisk card with ApplePi-Baker. Installed the card in the ASIAIR Pro, switched it on - no beep, no WiFi from the unit. I assume it could not boot up correctly. Any ideas anyone?

GoldTop57 I think you are in the same boat as me, check your SD card how many files do you see on the root of the SD card? You should see only 4 files (3 folders and 1 file), if you see 60 files then it did not burn correctly and it will not boot. Mount the ISO image file you will see 60 files there, if the SD card looks like that then it won't boot. I've been having the same problem for weeks now trying to flash the OS and so far has ended in failure.

Thank you SSkylab1 - yes like you I see 60 files. I'm not going to waste any more time on this and will purchase an EQMOD cable.
