Please update to include a mosaic planner in the ASIair. Thank you very much.
Mosaic planner
You can set RA and dec in Plan to complete mosaic
@asiair@zwo#47462 please elaborate.

Yes it is possible to precalculate the RA and DEC for each panel of a mosaic but it would help a lot if it were part of ASIAIR. For instace, implement a wizard that allows a user to select center RA and DEC and then allows for specifying the number of panels in RA and DEC, for instance 2x1. That would be great indeed.

You can export the plan in CSV format from https://telescopius.com/ and then import it into app version 1.6.1.

I don't think it's quite that easy. At the very least you'd also need to enter the amount of frame overlap, or how many degrees / minutes / seconds to move between frames. Perhaps a better approach would be to enter the coordinates of the top left and bottom right frames of the mosaic, and then the number of rows / columns for the mosaic so Asiair can determine the amount of movement between frames.

@asiair@zwo#47466 thanks. I’ll give it a try in the meantime.
darkmatter You are absolutely right and I forgot to include that in my suggestion. Indeed, the frame overlap (perhaps in % ?) needs to be configurable as well.
The overlap may be hard to calculate properly when imaging close enough to the celestial poles. For instance, for my 5x3 degree setup, when imaging close to the north celestial pole, the south sides and corners of the image will have significantly less overlap than then north sides and corners.

I think it's a pointless complication. Now version 1.6.1 allows the import of the coordinates of the panels that make up the mosaic. A specific program such as telescopius already does an excellent job. Much more useful in my opinion, it would be a greater control of the driving parameters in phd2, like the drive assistent.
Ciclociano It requires yet another account on an external service, which I do not like. I prefer to be able to create mosaics (and perform all other imaging operations for that matter) on one device, which in this case is the AAP. Having said that, introducing a mosaic planner on the AAP doesn’t clash with improving the guide module, apart from ZWO developer resources.
@asiair@zwo#47466 how do I import it into the app?
