I tried this last night. On the bright side, my attempt to burn the new AAP OS onto an SD was a success. The AAP was able to read the card, and proceeded to update the firmware after that.
Unfortunately, I still wasn't able to control the Celestron Evolution mount with the AAP.
Here is my procedure.
- Align the mount using StarSense Auto Align.
- Slew to a named star to confirm accurate alignment.
- Connect AAP to mount by connecting a USB cable from the AAP to the StarSense hand controller that controls the mount.
- In AAP app, select the Celestron driver that best corresponds to my mount. Turn the green switch "on."
- In AAP app, plate solve my current location, and then tap "Sync to mount" or "Sync to mount and go."
But it never went. The app has told me that the devices are "connected," but the AAP reports error when I try to use the AAP to slew.
Any other ideas on how to get this working? Thank you all for your help.
