Hi, we have released ASIStudio v1.5!

change log:

ASIFitsView always opens the custom bayer pattern option.
ASIDeepStack adds stack thread limits to optimize memory usage.
ASIDeepStack adds the ability to stack calibration frames without Light frames.
Add user feedback software named 'ASIFeedBack' to automatically upload crash logs.
ASIFitsView now supports for 32 bits fits, stretching algorithm and interface have been optimized.
Calibration display, one-click stack and other functions have been added to ASIFitsView.
ASIFitsView modifies the save as TIFF file policy.
Add FITS file association in Linux, double-click the FITS file to open it with ASIFitsView directly.
Fixed some other bugs.

For the possibility that ASIStudio cannot be auto-updated properly, you may download and update the software manually. Thanks so much for your support!

I downloaded the new software and my Mac will not permit it to be installed because it cannot be verified. I checked settings/privacy and there is not option to permit it? What do I do? I've already deleted version 1.4.

Renator Not sure why it won't install for you. I downloaded the new software on my Mac and it installs perfectly fine. When I open it, I get a warning that the software cannot be verified but that can be overridden in settings/security & privacy.

wvreeven — Hi. Thanks for the reply. I tried that but in settings/security & privacy, I get to option to override it. I did that in the past with other software but not this time. EDIT: After several more attempts the override option finally showed up. I think, I'm good to go. Thanks again for the reply.

I use a Mac, when the auto-update box opens and I click download, when it eventually downloads, it downloads an .exe file and not a .dmg file. I just downloaded the .dmg file from the website and installed it that way, but though you best know.

How to open raw formats of other dslr/mirrorless cameras in ASI Deepstack? I can not open my Sony Raw images to stack.

ASI Fits View (Win 64): if I select BIAS and FLAT files for calibration, the program crash and exit without any error message. It keeps going back to ASI Studio Menu every time after "loading calibration" unless I rename/move the folders where I have my calibration files. Anybody else experiencing same problems ? Using just BIAS (not sure why, but ASI Fits View requires to have BIAS files even if I use a 294MC Pro) and FLAT.

This software changes ALL FITS files (from any capture program) to ASIFitsView which seem to interfere with operation of GoldFocus software. I am still investigating. I can't understand why ASIStudio woulc affect output from an independent program.

Hello,

For mac users, is there a way to have FIT viewer become the mac-default app to open FIT images? When I try to tell mac to use the fitviewer it only shows asistudio which does not open the file...it just opens asistudio and then you have to click fitsviewer and then tell it where the image to open is.

In PC you can just associate it with the .exe but in mac it does not work that way.

Dantac Right click on a FITS file in Finder and select Get Info. In the Open With drop down box you can select the software to open it with. Then you can click the Change All... button to apply to all FITS files.

Hello, With ASIStudio 1.5.4 64 bit, when I use ASIIMG/AutoRun/DelayBetween and the value 30s for example, it seems that value is not taken in count.

Is it possible to use a Celestron Focuser in ASI Studio? I have been using ASI Studio ever since I got my ASI462MC and it's a really nice integrated product but I have to use another application to carry out focusing. OK there is the EAFocuser but I already have the Celestron one. I can see the comercial reasons for only allowing ASI products but it would be nice to be able to use equipment we already have along with our shiny new cameras.
