FatherAnolev Thanks! I've set it but it still didnt identify it in the ASAIR app.
ASIair Plus and Sony Cameras
Slayne it still didnt identify it in the ASAIR app.
See this post from 2 weeks ago:

I noted that for my old Sony A7S, I also needed to set the "USB LUN Setting"menu in the Camera to Single for the camera to be seen by ASIAIR. (Check Sony's notes regarding that particular setting.

I am trying to get my Sony A7IV to work with the ASIAIR 2.1 production firmware and I am having issues with the exposure and iso settings. I am trying to follow setup requirements as best as possible but still no go. The camera is being detected and I can produce an image when it is not in bulb mode.
I can’t get more than 30 second exposure and I don’t see where I can change the iso other than what is already set on the camera. When I try to take a picture in bulb mode it says exposure error.
Does anyone know the settings required on Sony camera and/or Asiair to get this going?

ISO is right under the camera selection:
As to long exposure bulb mode, did you check @Swizerlan 's post at the end of that thread which I had linked to above?
Also make sure you have turned all on-camera noise reduction off -- otherwise the camera will be trying to take a dark frame right after it takes a light frame, and cause additional latency that ASIAIR does not know how to handle.
Dark frame noise compensation has to be done the usual (astrophotography) way, instead of letting the camera do it.
I just tested my ancient IR-Modified Sony A7S with a 60 second exposure, with all noise reduction turned off, on ASIAIR v2.1, and it appears to work correctly. I have no intention of using that camera any longer, just testing it to see if ASIAIR works with a longer than 30 second exposure duration.

Hi all, anybody get the Asiair plus working with the Sony A7IV?
I'm getting the same error as @joshlopez1588 , it's telling me the camera is not in bulb mode (although it is), and then an exposure failure.
Thanks!

Hi,
I have issue with A7rIii that it cannot detect ISO. It said "N/A" and no option to select.
Thanks
BTW. I did:
_ turn off noise reduction
What should be the Sony a7 III setting to connect to ASI Air Plus?
There is always exposure 1s and I can not change it.
I also he the message " Exposure error, please check if the Shutter Release Cable is connected properly"
despite this option is off.
Regards
RJ
rafjak I am having literally the same issues. Cant change the exposure time, I can if I switch on the REMOTE SHUTTER in the main camera settings on the ASIAIR App, but even then, does not control the shutter of the camera. The app recognized my Sony A7IV in PC REMOTE mode, but thats it. Cant get it to take a preview shot, or anything beyond that. Hope they get a fix going soon!
ASIAIR team have paid attention to the problem!
Dayvu Mind sharing what ZWO support shared with you when it came down to your issue?

sadly this does not solve the problem for sony a7IV users.
PMTeam@ZWO followed all these steps and still have the issue. Any eta on fix release?
@joshlopez1588 @iErickDGAF @spaiglass and all other Sony users that experience the exposure time bug.
ZWO said we have to wait another 3 months for the next update. I think we should remind them that they should push a minor bugfix update for this issue!

Can we please have an update PMTeam@ZWO?
It's been several months now. I am about to purchase a Sony A7R II because I naturally thought that according to your list, the A7R and the A7R III have been tested to work, the A7R II may also work. Reading this thread, I am now thinking that this may not be the case.
I understand the challenge of keeping up with Sony's rapid development cycle and the abundance of its product names. However, have you considered the potential of your customer base in assisting with this effort? Many of us are more than willing to lend a hand in order to expand and solidify your compatibility lists.
Recently, I've observed a surge in dissatisfaction among ASIair product users, stemming primarily from perceived shortcomings in ZWO's compatibility list and responsiveness to the community's needs. I firmly believe that engaging the customer base in testing efforts could alleviate some of these concerns.
With this in mind, I would like to extend my offer to assist in testing the Sony A7R II and other cameras with my ASIair Plus, should the need for such testing arise. If you find this proposal beneficial, I would appreciate guidelines on the specific tests I should carry out.
Allowing customers to contribute to your testing process would not only enhance ZWO's compatibility list but also foster a sense of community involvement.
Best regards,
Shawn
I can confirm through a simple connectivity test that the Sony a7R II is recognized by the ZWO ASIair Plus.
It would be nice to have a testing plan in order to understand how I can fully test my camera.
Hi everyone. New to this forum.
Is it possible to get confirmation that the ASIair Plus still does not support the Sony Alpha a1 yet?
Thanks
