I just got my AM5 mount today and hooked it up to my ASIAIR Pro. I mounted a 60mm refractor and DSLR on it and after doing PA, had it slew to a target. It started off fine, but then made a horrible grinding noise and stopped. I powered the mount off, and after turning it on again, was able to use the hand controller to move the mount from +100 to -100 degrees in RA and almost the same in Dec without any problems. The grinding has not shown up again.
But a new problem has come up. The sync light initially stays red when the mount is connected to the ASIAIR Pro, but sometimes it starts flashing green/red and in the ASIAIR software, I have to toggle the mount connection from on to off and back to on again and then light stays red. I have to do this several times when I notice that the guiding is way off. Lastly, after the mount has been on awhile, when I try to slew, I hear a clicking sound and it refuses to move...and the sync light starts flashing green/red.
