Hi... I'm just getting started with my new camera, and I'm seeing "Exposure Failure" when changing modes (Preview, Live, etc.). The error is more likely the longer the exposure and can occur while live stacking. I'm using newest version ASiair Plus and the USB cable that was supplied with the camera, connected to a USB3 port. This happens frequently and the only way to resume imaging is to disconnect and reconnect the USB or set the main camera to "None" and back to the 585MC in ASiair software.

I've read of others having similar problems in NINA and Sharpcap. Their resolution usually was newer versions of those software packages which used updated ZWO camera SDK, or setting the 585MC to "continuous preview" (or something similar, IIRC). Can anyone from ZWO help me out here? This is becoming frustrating. My ASI120MM Mini runs without a hitch, but the 585MC has been a bit of a headache thus far.

What ASIAIR app and firmware version are you using. I had the same problem with my new ASI662 because I was using a version prior to the one that included the updates for the newer cameras released this summer. You have to have at least App v1.9.1 with firmware v9.97.

johnpd Thanks for your reply. It's a brand new ASiair Plus and all software and firmware is up-to-date.

When you say you have the latest app and firmware, is that the latest v1 or the new v2?

Could you submi the log in the ASIAIR APP when appear this problem? (About -> feedback/bug report)
Please also try different cables, and ports. thanks

@Tech@ZWO#61200 I should have clear enough skies tomorrow night to do this.

OK, so it is a problem with the new version. Hopefully they included the driver updates for the new cameras in that update.

Hopefully they get to the bottom of this quickly. I just had it happen again (it's a constant headache during live stacking). I did upload the logs.

Tech@ZWO "Exposure Failure" occurs very often with my ASI585MC. I just uploaded the logs. It's impossible for me to use my equipment until this is resolved... thanks!

johnpd Hopefully they get to the bottom of this quickly. I can't get anything done until it's resolved.

A mi también me pasa, no puedo hacer exposiciónes de más de 0.5 segundos, me dice que encienda el cooler🤷‍♂️pero cual, esta cámara no tiene refrigeración

This is the same problem I was having with my new ASI662 before I updated to the latest v1. It sure appears that they did not include the updated drivers for the new 2022 cameras in v2. ASIAIR seems to recognize that there is a ZWO camera present, but it is confused as to what camera it is and what are its characteristics.

johnpd I have to believe if that was the case these forums would be full of complaints. There has to be a bunch of us out here using the new cameras with ASiair v2.. Anyhow, I’m watching it in the bug tracker now. I got my equipment out again last night and the problem is so random… Sometimes it will happen on the third sub, and sometimes on the 23rd. Grrr…

Regarding Jose's issue which was the same issue I had a while back, is there a log created when all you are doing is Preview Mode? I see logs on my system for Autorun and Guiding, but that is all.

Tech@ZWO It doesn't look like I'll have clear weather until Wednesday night, but I'll submit again ASAP. This happens each time with longer subs.

I submitted another bug report an hour or two ago... I wasn't able to use the PC, only the ASIair Plus again, as the clouds rolled in. I did the best I could with a very small hole in the weather. The error came on only the 7th live stacked frame shooting 30 second subs. This problem makes it impossible to use my new ZWO equipment, so I'm hoping for a quick resolution. Thanks for your attention to this!

tbhausen Did you test it with different USB cables and USB ports?
Can't locate where is the problem yet, we need more tests to rule out the problem first. thanks.

Tech@ZWO thank you for your reply. I have new laboratory-grade cables arriving today so if the weather cooperates I will try again.
