What is latest ASIAIR firmware ? And how to update it ?

I've been researching this for hours, and I cannot find anything on the ZWO website explaining how to ...

determine what version of firmware is in my ASIAIR Pro / Plus;
whether a firmware update is available; or
how to update firmware.

Can you please provide this information ?

Didge determine what version of firmware is in my ASIAIR Pro / Plus;

Top left corner of app window. Firmware version is in parentheses.

It is also shown in the ASIAIR "About" window:

whether a firmware update is available;
how to update firmware.

The ASIAIR does not have an explicit firmware file to be downloaded. The firmware is a payload of the ASIAIR app. If the app finds that the firmware is not up to date, the app will bring up a window to force you to download the latest firmware.

Hi Chen,
when my ASiair Plus is switched on, it opens it's Wireless function which I connect to using my iPad or whatever other device I am using. So far so good. When the ASiair app tells me it needs to download an update, it tries to connect to the relevant site via the internet which, of course, it can't do because my device is not connected to the internet - it is connectd to the ASiair device.
I'm a bit stumped.

Yep, if you keep the ASiair app up-to-date, your firmware will be kept up-to-date.

ASI Mount app on tablet.

ZWO Firmware Update program with the EAF firmware payload.

How do you update the firmware in the Filter Wheel ?

The ZWO Firmware Update program can see an EFW, but as far as I know, there are no firmware files for them.

Just update the app at home, with the iPad connected to the home router's Wifi. If your ASIAIR device is also connected to the home router, either through WiFi station mode, ot directly using Ethernet, the ASIAIR app should be able to find it, and download the corresponding ASIAIR firmware to the ASIAIR device.

Been trying to update firmware on my asi air plus. Have opened ticket been told to put iPad in airplane mode it’s only a WiFi iPad so not sure what that would do. Regardless I did it and no luck.
Here is what happens downloaded asi air plus software directly from Zwo website
When connected either direct or in station mode it’s says it Laos firmware then starts the install, stops at 82% the says “auto reconnecting and fails and says try again.
I’ve tried this, seriously like 50 times

Last night as I set up in my garden and connected to my ASIAIR plus it updated the firmware to the latest V2.3.1 (I think). Afterwards my platesolving in the AA+ didn’t seem to be working as it should, slewing the telescope to an object ie) a bright star and then failing to find it. After it slewed, there wasn’t any corrections made at all by the AA+ to centre the star and the star ended up outside the field of view. It happened numerous times.
Also after the PA stage, I selected the goto Home position, this it did, then I directed it to go into the PA routine again a second time from where I could see the RA and DEC positions were over 2 and 3 degrees at variance with Polaris, instead of having only a minor discrepancy like a few arc secs. What has happened to my once reliable AA+? Does the App on my iPad also have to be reinstalled?
