How to connect M54 filter drawer to the ASI 2600 MC Pro tilt plate ??

philippe If you have 55mm back focus requirement, you can't use the M54 tilt plate to replace the M42 tilt plate on the camera, because the back focus distance will reach 60mm. because you also need a 5mm tilt plate to connect the OAG-L to the telescope.

Oops, you're definitely right, I had forgotten to take into account the total and didn't notice that we were already over the 55mm ! :-(

I was used to standard OAG version and of course we don't need the tilt plate to connect to the telescope, therefore I had the usual elements in mind after the OAG and it was within the 55mm with it included...

So it's now crystal clear, I'll have to buy the 15mm adapter but alas, it'll be less comfortable to change my filter, but I've no other choice at the moment...

My question is what is the point of selling a filter draw that you can attach to your ASI 2600MC camera and OAG-L if you want me to buy another spacer that you can screw in a filter? Why offer that option?

Figzphotos M68 OAG is different from OAG-L.
M68 OAG has M68 threads on the telescope side. but OAG-L does not have it, it needs an extra 5mm filter to connect to the telescope, in this case, 20mm filter drawer is not compatible with OAG-L for 55mm back focus solution.

So why is it offered this way???? Even the diagram shows 17.5mm + 20mm + 17.5 = 55mm. Why have this as an option if you still need to add a 5mm plate??

Hi Tech@ZWO , I have a follow up question w.r.t the image you shared in last message. I have an OAG-L with m48 sensor tilt adapter (came by default) so I attached it to the telescope side (askar fra400 to it's 0.7x reducer with m48 male which forces us to use m48 tilt adapter on OAG-L.

Now coming to the camera side, I purchased an M54 adapter as (marketed as replacing efw) to attach it to my 533mc pro.

I got a 11mm T2 tilter as well following the recommendation in the pic.

Coming to my question, when I insert a filter into the M54 adapter as shown in pic, how do you expect users to remove it or even replace filters? It's not like a threaded one to simply untighten, then add/remove filters right? It has got screwed into OAG-L and T2 filter on both sides, which requires one to have allen keys handy making it damage prone as well to optics in between. Isn't that a lot of struggle? Very poor solution if you ask me.
