ASIAIR v2.1 Public Beta Released
thank you ZWO
My update on Android is failing on two different phones. Any ideas?

In both v2.0 and v2.1 I can't seem to get the nearby maps working, my location is completely ignored (always defaults to Yichun for some reason) and everything is in chinese. Also, the map provider watermark is always shown below the update location button. This happens on a Pixel 6a, a Nothing Phone (1) and the Android emulator too. All permissions are correctly granted.

With this beta the device isn't working anymore with my Canon R5. After taking a photo and downloading it to the phone (very slow 0-900kb/s instead of 6/7mb/s of the 2.0) I have to wait for about 30 seconds before the app generates the preview on the display. Once loaded then the histogram automatically does not stretch as it did in version 2.0.
And while doing so the asiair plus sometimes even crash requiring me to manually restart it. I've sent the bug report via the app. Hoping for a fast fix
Android version 13.

I'm connect Sony a7 IV and press the shooting button in preview, the phrase 'Exposure failure' appears. It met all the settings before connecting to blue, MF, and PC Control. What's the problem?

mochi Only Raw is selected.
What about manual shutter mode, and bulb?
In my case when I tested , I also had to change "USB LUN Setting", but since you can actually see the camera from ASIAIR, I don't think that is a problem for you.

Oh, also try exposure durations that are shorter than 1 second first. There are some threads (more than one) on this forum where ASIAIR failed with Canon cameras when the exposure duration exceeded 1 second.
Note @Swizerlan's post (post number 5 on the above thread) about charging over USB also.

@ASIAIR@ZWO Need some help, I downloaded the APK file on my Android device, and all my permissions are set for unknown apps, and it gives me an 'App Not Installed' message when I attempt to install the beta. Any ideas?
UPDATE: Nevermind, I uninstalled the main ASIair app, and now it stopped being finicky, and is doing its thing!

Thank you for the comment. I already saw the post on the site you told me. We also changed 'USB LUN Settings' to 'Single'. I set it to M mode and bulb. And I can adjust the EXP (exposure time) by turning on 'EXP with Shutter Release Cable' in asiair app, but the phrase 'exposure failure' also appears. It's the same even if you turn it off.
is the nyx101 mount’s issue solved?? can I know your plan?

centering problem in the map, the stacked meter at the bottom disappears, it is not possible to increase the gain and the images are black, continuous restarts of the EAF, not exactly excellent guide
Seeing some really weird artificating on Sony a6500, I also see it in the recorded fits file.
Any chance you can add support for the A7RV?

Newbie question, to connect Sony cameras to AsiAir plus with version 2.1 would it go to the 2.5mm DSL-R output or to the USB 3.0 port???
I would be delighted to be able to use my Sony camera with AA+, thanks in advance.

The installation of 2.1b on several iOS devices and two ASIAIR Plus went perfect.
bug report:
"center here" works wrong (RASA36, one mirror telescope. Comec 10micron HPS3000 mount)
"Scan ASIAIR in current network" does not show results when remote connected over VPN. But if you enter the IP manually, it still works (I dont know if its possible to scan remote)
The blue dot in the objects database should be at the actual time, this went here wrong several times.
suggestions:
switch between 2 ASIAIRS could be so much easier and faster when you already display the available ASIAIRs and let the User simply click on them. Then restart the App without request or unnecessary startscreens.
The annoying rotating Startscreens anyway should be disabled by user checkbox (maybe the user can have their own start screen?). Tablet users have to turn their tablets. Especially if the tablet are mount in a fix holder, this is not possible. Forget phones, almost nobody use them.
If refocus fails (because of clouds), PLEASE at least go back to the last value and continue shooting. As an extra you could track the focus vs temperature and the choosen filter and automatically insert the right value for the EAF with the time.
Please make the redesigned buttons bigger. Even on a big tablet they are to small.
Please make an extra button to enter the object database, I use it a lot. In the "best of" collection please make a "best of including fainter objects" available. Please include the the vDB and the Abell catalogue. For the filter criteria please add minimum and maximum size of an object displayed.
Please use for your planetarium a stronger background image (more and fainter nebula visible) and please make a button to turn off these disturbing constellation signs.
Please make user configurable text for the ASIAIR outputs possible (e.g. fan, light, switchbox, observatory shutter, rear heater, front heater, etc.)
Make dithering without guiding possible. I use a high quality mount, mostly without guiding.
In autorun and plan it would be nice, instead of leave the math to the user, if you simply enter the integration time and the single exposure time. E.g. from "18:00-20:00" or "2 hours".
For EAF users it would be great if you can bind a default position (maybe also a temperature gradient for users of your thermometer add on) to each filter. Example given: Filter "Halpha" with preset EAF to 45000. Not all filter are homofocal to each other.
Just some suggestions.
I use 2 ASIAIRs in my roll off observatory, completely remote. I am very happy with the ASIAIRs. It makes the use so much easier. Thank you for making this also running with Apple Silicone computers. The trend is to automate shooting even more in the future.

Suggestion: allow plan mode to take subs until nautical sunrise rather than specifying a number of subs. No one wants to do maths in the field.
Please support Sony A1 and Sony A7R5, the latest bodies.
