Ernesto221 What is the min and max power voltage supported by AsiAir Plus ?
Ernesto, ZWO claims a range from 11V - 15V for the DC input in the ASIAIR specs.
However, I returned an ASIAIR to my dealer because it would not boot at 14V, before realizing that the replacement also did not boot.
Turns out the replacement failed at about 13.75V, which means that it will not work if you have a freshly charged SLA battery, together with low impedance power cables. I have since adjusted the power supply that I use with the ASIAIR down to 13.6V or so.
Either there should be a personnel change in the documentation department, or in the QA department. Both could not have done their work properly for two units in a row to not meet the specs.
12V power output port are internally regulated or not ?
Beware using those ports, they are not DC output ports. Unless they are 100% turned on, they are cheap pulse width modulated (PWM) output that looks like repeated pulses that swings between something close to 0V to something close to the 12V DC input voltage.
PWM is only good for regulating average power. You cannot use them to obtain regulated voltage, because it is not DC.
