Although this thread is a bit older, I’d still like to respond…
The combination of 10Micron and ASIAir doesn’t work ideally together – it’s similar to a professional camera and a smartphone app.
I use both products – the 10Micron in my observatory with the Pointing Model, which makes Platesolving unnecessary, and with a precision that makes guiding redundant. The ASIAir, on the other hand, is used for mobile setups or as a control for a secondary telescope when I want to quickly get a setup running.
The biggest advantage of the ASIAir for me is the extremely fast deployment time. The 10Micron, however, is more suited for stationary applications where maximum precision and performance are required. After a few nights, the advantage of ASIAir becomes less significant, especially when you need advanced planning functions that sophisticated sequencers like N.I.N.A. or SGP offer.
