In my ASIAIR Pro I use a USB stick to save photos and transfer them to my computer, how do you retrieve photos from a Seestar? Is a jpg photo provided after saving like the ASIAIR Pro? Is the file inside the Seestar a tiff file or a fits file?
How do you retrieve a photo from the Seestar?
You can use "Station Mode" to transfer files via Wi-Fi. For detailed tutorials, please refer to https://h5.seestar.com/course/2750
Is it just possible to just make a wired connection between the Seestar and my computer to transfer any photos?
dave85374 You can transfer files through a wired connection, connect Seestar to the computer through a USB data cable, and keep Seestar turned on.
I was told that the only input to the Seestar was for power. What do you do, connect the cable into the power slot and the other end into a computer?
dave85374 Yes, plug one end of the USB data cable into the Seestar power socket and connect the other end to the computer
Is it possible to connect the Seestar to a computer and automatically save the images straight to the computer for statcking?
Is it possible to treat the SeeStar storage like any other USB drive and delete added files after they have been transferred to another computer? If so this is such an easy option I don't understand why it wasn't the first option listed.

When I looked at the MyWorks folder on SeeStar it showed 5 images. When I looked at the MyWorks folder on my laptop it's empty. This is my second day with SeeStar. Just found the photos on my phone. Is there any way to get them visible on my laptop?

Having a little more success, I was able to connect the SeeStar with my laptop with the USB cable and saw a "Solar" folder in "MyWorks". The sun was low behind some trees. In "Solar" I found several autofocussed images of the sun that focussed on tree branches between me and the sun. So I turned off the autofocus, and got several sharp pictures of the sun's disk with blurry branches. I'd like to have images of the sharp disk with blurry branches, and can see them on my phone but I can't find them in MyWorks. Is SeeStar editing them the blurry images and if so, can I turn that editing off?
seldom To access Seestar's files, you can use USB on the one hand, and Station Mode on the other hand to access Seestar's address on your computer.
At the same time, files in raw format can be stored in Seestar, and other formats can be stored in mobile phones or tablets. If you cannot find the file, you can refer to this

The tutorial helped. Thanks.
So, the only Media files that are stored on the Seestar's HD is RAW only. JPG, AVI or others formats on Phone or Tablet is that correct?
Is it possible to view images on your phone without having too turn on the SeeStar unit itself? I think the photos are stored on the phone but I see no way to access them on the phone with the Seestar turned off.
rainguy Files saved in Seestar cannot be viewed without turning on the computer. Generally, RAW format files will be saved in Seestar, and other format files will be saved on your mobile phone or tablet.

I cannot find the SeeStar Album anywhere on my app even when the SeeStar is turned on and I am connected. WHERE is it and how do I access it?
SeeStar images are in Photos on my iphone.
Unlike the ASIAIR Pro, the Seestar uses two options for retrieving photos: a wired USB connection to your computer or wireless access through Station Mode. Photos are saved as both JPGs (in the "My Works" folder) and RAW FITS files (in the "Seestar" folder). You choose which format to transfer. Additionally, while the ASIAIR Pro saves individual shots, the Seestar primarily focuses on capturing stacks of sub-exposures for later processing into final images.
So, for retrieval, simply connect your Seestar with a USB cable or access its network address during Station Mode. Then, browse through the folders on your computer and enjoy your captured cosmic treasures!
