I have the same problem with “Scenery” mode.
I just setup & starting using my Seestar a few days ago (latest Seestar firmware & my iPhone has the current Seestar app version).
The Stargazing mode has worked great so far and has been impressive.
The Scenery mode has never worked. Selecting the Scenery mode opens the Scenery app display to a forever little spinning wheel in the center of the screen (just like you described).
If I temporarily open another app and then go back to the Seestar app, the spinning wheel finally goes away, but the app display remains black. I can manually steer to a bright sunlit tree and the Scenery mode display is still black (like it’s not even reading the sensor).
I also have issues with Solar & Lunar modes so far. In either modes, if I select “Skip GoTo to observe >” the spinning wheel appears again and continues forerver.
In Solar mode, if I select “Installed & GoTo”, it does GoTo the sun, but it doesn’t appear to read the sensor. I can manually steer the Seestar away from the Sun & remove the Solar filter and the app display is still black.
So for me, the Stargazing mode works great, but so far that the only mode working…
I don’t really care about the Scenery mode, but I want all the other modes to work. I’m guessing the problem with the Scenery mode (forever spinning wheel) is indicative of problems I’m having in other modes as well..
