They said in the other thread that it will be published in the end of this year. They also said on beginning of this year that it will be published during the first half of this year. Very likely this new due date will not hold either. I will go for other brands. And thus also to other software than ASIAIR... StellarMate already installed in NUC-PC.

I understand that their priority now is the new Seestar and maybe some new futures for this Telescope but I’m sure that ZWO will acomplish with their commintment ………… No pressure @Tech@ZWO 😂………. 15 days left 😈

franksnow If their priority is in new Seestar, I have even more reasons to jump in other system. If they want to profile themselves a toy company, by all means they can do so, but not with my money. 🤣

It's a luxury piece of gear. Absolutely not needed to take amazing images.

Well, I am current ZWO customer, heavily invested into their systems. They have set several due days during last two years, and delaying the rotator release every time. Now I have came into situation where I can't wait anymore because third season is beginning in two months while this waiting. If you can read, read my previous post, there you can see that I am just going to do that what you are saying if ZWO people don't tell us within next few days that release is going to happen before autumn. And maybe I go anyway, because may be we should not trust such tales...

I am another ZWO user (5 cameras/2 filter wheels/Filter slide drawer)) who is waiting on more details to be released on the Rotator. A few questions to the ZWO Tech.

I saw a rotator at NEAF 6 months ago...is this still the design being worked on? It is a nice small/light/thin unit that was on display which will be a benefit for me.
Will it be able to operate the unit in a stand alone mode (not dedicated to the ASI Air controllers)? I do not use the ASI Air and have zero interest in doing so.
Will the unit be limited to de-rotate alt-az images taken with mounts or can it be used as a camera rotator to frame the field of view on the chip...framing is my point of interest.

Any details on this would be appreciated,

1 Yes, we are still working on it.
2 Of course, it supports native and ASCOM driver.
3 Currently, it does not support de-rotate alt-az images, it can be used as a camera rotator.

Don't wait .. buy new SeeStar, Dev Team was busy with it, so looks like CAA has to wait another year. ;-)
No offence but looks like best idea is sell AsiAir and start use other solution, this will solve "rotator availability" just now.

It could just be more of a cck tase but there has been a CAA button in the 2.2.2.xx ASIAIR app that seems to go past just being a fake button on the top menu. Or it could mean there is an immanent CAA release coming ....

retman Obviously this Could happen but as a ZWO Fan Boy 😂, I’m sure that new version that will support the CAA will be Pristine and will works without failures. Tech@ZWO will confirm this point…… they’re so sure that if this doesn’t works they will refund us full amount 😎😎😎

Like many, i have been waiting for this rotator for quite a while. however, i would not purchase one UNTIL ASIAIR was stable. way way better than 2.2.2! i use android so at least it's easy for me to go back a few revs, but the CAA will require a new, and STABLE release for air so i sure hope that ZWO take their time with AIR software and get it really right. it would be bad to purchase the CAA (when available) and then still have to revert to older (and more stable) air software...........and not be able to actually use the new CAA!
