Looking at the list of compatible Sony Cameras here - https://www.yuque.com/zwopkb/asiair/compatible-dslr-ml - and the Sony Cameras added in the latest Beta here - https://bbs.zwoastro.com/d/17089-asiair-v212-public-beta-released

The Sony A5000 is only listed as UNTESTED
And it is NOT listed in the Beta

So there is no guarantee the Sony A5000 will be able to work.

Really - the only option will be to try the settings as shown here https://www.yuque.com/zwopkb/asiair/lf7nd44fruq3vukh making sure to restart the camera and THEN connect to the ASIAIR every time you make a settings change.

You'll probably need to just try out a few settings on your own to see if you can get it to work. Again - every setting change you should restart the camera, then connect it to the ASIAIR.

Hello,Techsuport Guy, I too cannot use the A5000 no matter what I do.
The USB connection itself seems to be working internally, but it does not appear in the main camera list of ASIair.
but it does not appear in the list of main cameras in ASIair....
This means that A5000 cannot be used for any length of time.
The A5100 appears in the camera list and works fine.

I am sorry to say this, but from the standpoint of a beta tester, I strongly hope that the developer will confirm the operation once.If they don't support it, I think they should make an announcement to that effect.

the usb connection works both on pc with ascom drivers and using sony remote camera control app . I think there is some bug on asi air , or with the camera SDK used by asi air

Log a ticket for it by going here - https://support.astronomy-imaging-camera.com/ and selecting Product, then select the ASIAIR from the product type drop down, and select DSLR & ML from the concern type.

Enter all the relevant details and submit it.

Once you receive a ticket number - post that ticket number here as well.

Tech@ZWO Hello, i tried connecting A5000 to asiair but failed. Sent you bug report in ASIAir.
Camera has latest firmware (1.10) but didn't work with 1.00 either. USB mode is PC remote, USB Lan setting is set to 1.
Camera is modified via OpenMemories tweak to disable long exposure noise reduction (it cannot be done in settings with this model). But it didn't work even before this modification.
What's the solution to make it work ASAP please?
