Hello all,
I am writing here to seek assistance with an issue I am experiencing with my new ASI 585 MC camera, which I recently purchased along with a new 32GB ASIAIR Plus unit.
I have successfully connected my ASI 120mm-s camera for autoguiding, and it is recognized by the ASIAIR Plus without any issues. However, I am unable to get the ASIAIR Plus to recognize the ASI 585 MC camera. It does not appear in the list of available cameras for either main imaging or autoguiding. The ASI 585 MC camera works correctly when connected to a PC with USB 2 ports, indicating that the camera itself is functioning properly. I have tried connecting the ASIAIR Plus through both its USB 3 and USB 2 ports but to no avail. Additionally, I have reset the ASIAIR to its factory firmware and updated it again, but this has not resolved the issue.Could you please advise on any steps I may take to resolve this issue? I am eager to begin using this setup for astrophotography, and any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.Thank you for your time and support.

Latest ASIAIR 2.1 (firmware 11.05):
Are you using the cables that came in the ASI585 box? Be sure to throw out all ZWO cables. Never ever use a ZWO cable for USB or for power. They ship the cheapest untested junk with their expensive devices, and combined with the poorly designed (apparently no design margins) USB hardware in the ASIAIR and their cameras, causes many of the cables to fail to work.
Also, don't forget to supply 12V power to the camera even if you don't need the cooling.
Plug the camera into a desktop computer running ASIstudio, see if that works -- the computer has proper USB hardware, unlike the ASIAIR.

Hello,
thank you so much for your help. I use the cables that came with the camera. In order to make sure that it was not the camera cable that was defective, I interchanged the cables of the 2 ZWO cameras but nothing helped, the 585 is not recognized. I checked the versions of the ASI AIR and I have version 2.1.2, the latest. I checked on the forum and no one has the merit of a problem as mine. My power supply is 12V and 10A to manage all the connected systems. The camera works great on PC with ASI studio. I don't understand what's the matter.

FARRIGHI ASI AIR and I have version 2.1.2, the latest.
OK, I am running ASIAIR 2.1.4, with firmware 11.05. See if you can find a newer (even beta) version of ASIAIR.
Oh, also try plugging the camera into one of ASIAIR's USB 2 port. See if the camera can be seen there. USB 2 is fine with such a small sensor, and you might be able to live with that.

Hello,
It's a planetary camera, without cooled. Regarding the power of my installation, I use a 12V/10A power supply (AL0010) specific for the use of an ASIAIR plus.

FARRIGHI Which version USB cable you use? black flat cable, black round cable, or red round cable?
And could you connect only the ASI585MC to the ASIAIR and try all the four USB ports? then submit the bug report in the ASIAIR app. (About -> bug report. ) which will help for further analysis, thank you.
