If you are using an Android device do the following to downgrade/rollback the ASIAIR App on your device and the ASIAIR Firmware (they are a matched set).

Note: doing this will more than likely cause the loss of any/all data on the ASIAIR Pro/Plus (and Mini?) device itself. So backup any data that's on there before proceeding.

First, you need to factory reset the ASIAIR device itself. This will revert it back to an older firmware for you to then upgrade to the version you want to use. Read the following links:
https://eastwindastro.blogspot.com/2023/03/how-to-do-factory-reset-with-asiair.html?m=1
https://bbs.zwoastro.com/d/15275-asi-air-plus-broken/4

The important thing is after the factory reset is done - shut down the ASIAIR.

Second, on your device, you need to completely uninstall/remove the ASIAIR App. This will generally involve going to Settings > Apps > ASIAIR. Then go to Storage and clear cache and clear storage. Go back one screen then uninstall the app (if it hasn't been launched in a while on Samsung, for example, you will need to Enable it first in order to then uninstall it). Now RESTART (not simply shut down) your device. Press and hold the power button and restart.

Once restarted you need to install the APK file that links to the version of the ASIAIR App & Firmware you want to run. These can be found by going to this post on Cloudy Nights (I recommend downloading them and keeping them in your own storage area) https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/867572-asiair-app-previous-version-apk-downloads-available/

Download the relevant APK file to your device and install the APK file. This can work slightly differently on different Android devices but the basic thing you want to do is allow your device to install the app from the APK file. Once this completes you can move on but do NOT launch the app yet.

Third, go to the Play Store app on your device. Search for ASIAIR and go to the page for it. Now click on the triple dot menu in the top right and untick the auto update option. This way the ASIAIR App on your device will NOT automatically update (and, therefore, the firmware on your ASIAIR itself won't update).

Fourth, turn on the ASIAIR itself. Once it has booted up connect your Android device to the ASIAIR Wi-Fi. Now launch the App on your device and follow the steps to upgrade the firmware on your ASIAIR to match the version of the app on your Android device.

Finally, if all goes well, you should be able to enjoy using the previous version of the firmware.

If I've missed anything in this, or got anything wrong, or if anyone has anything to add in regards to this, please feel free to comment.

This is all well and good but half the time you don't even know which firmware version is contained on which app version. For more than 12 months the app was on version 1.9 so many firmwares came and went, also with v2.0. I've even got a v2.1.49 from Feb 2023, then the app number version went backwards in Nov 2023 to 2.1.2, so how does that work?

The firmware versions available from the link in the Cloudy Nights post should be the ones shown in the picture below:

If you look at the release log you can see the list of official releases going back a bit
    https://www.yuque.com/zwopkb/asiair/release-log

You can then go to the site which has the official releases plus all the beta/ testing firmware (which is probably what you're referring) going back to 1.9.1

Thank You! i followed your procedure and it worked perfectly. i had 2.1.3 saved on my tablet (glad i did). i "upgraded" to 2.2 (and 2.2.1) because of the BT control of the AM3 mount. that worked great......too bad about all the bugs, so back to 2.1.3 for a while
