I sorry but I can't find th. einstructions of how to upgrade the firmware, How can it be done?

I still have firmware 1.3.7 on my AM5. The update to version 1.6.3 is always aborted. This affects the app version as well as the desktop version.

        hjnet

The firmware update of the mount has now been completed successfully after several attempts. It had been aborted several times with the message "Error". The update of the hand controller worked immediately.

Just tried the update feature via ASIAIR. Worked like a charm. Thanks for this useful feature!

Very interesting discussion! I've never considered it from that perspective before. URL

Tried updating with the SkyAtlas app, it failed multiple times: the AM5 wifi would always briefly disconnect, which exits the AM Management menu and the FW never gets updated.
Then tried with the new ASIAIR app (2.3 beta) upgrade feature: gets stuck forever on "Updating ASIMount Firmware" at 0% progress.
So I went back to the SkyAtlas app, rebooted the AM5 mount, tried again. The wifi connection to the AM5 keeps disconnecting; I just keep trying and after a while when the mount wifi is up again, the Firmware menu states that the mount is now running 1.6.3.
So it looks like it ended up working but for some reason the upgrade process is very chaotic and not user friendly. I still don't know if it was a bug, a busy upgrade server, something else - or, just that the upgrade process is bad at communicating information to the user...

Upgrading via SkyAtlas is a poor experience. I've attempted this about a dozen times and each attempt the mount would disconnected and I'd get bounced back to the App Settings screen. During one attempt it made it 30% through according to the progress bar then of course I was disconnected. After ~ 15mins the mount restarted and I was current @1.6.3 but the upgrade process and interactions with SkyAtlas confused me as an end user, needs improvement.

What are the bug fixes for AM5?
Not sure if it's worth upgrading.

          Hello,
after trying to upgrade my AM5 from 1.3.7 to 1.6.3 via Wifi I had the following problem:

The online download stopped, the upload page disappeared, only the message "Failed to read existing file" is shown.
OK, I used Asi Studio, connected to AM5 with USB and tried to update.
Shown firmware was 1.3.7 , after the update the firmware is 1.1.2 !!

So far I can update now only update manually.
Where I find the firmware 1.6.3 to download?
          Thanks and excuse my english.

          Regards Frank

I'm still using the 1.5.7 ver. with my AM3 mount, image software NINA. Last night There was a meridian flip issue first time.
When the meridian flip activated in NINA, the mount moved short, stopped and Beeped twice, it didn't move further. Immediately I stopped the NINA sequence, and moved the mount to HOME position. Waited 3 min, then re positioned/slewed back to on target. I cannot figure out what's going on. I tried several mockup meridian flips day time and they are worked perfectly. My targes was in the South, Christmas tree nebula, Guide rate was good .7RMS most of the time. however, I would like any recommendations who to resolve this. I have not upgraded to the new AM mount software 1.6.3, I'm afraid to! any ideas?

Hmm.. I apparently spoke too soon. Tried to update my AM5 its firmware this evening from 1.5.2 to 1.6.3 following the instructions in the video I posted before. Connected to the mount its WiFi, fired up the page at 192.168.4.1 and it said there is an update available. I pushed the UPDATE button and then it says Connecting to server … 1%. That takes 20 or 30 seconds after which the error Update Failure occurs with options Ok and Re-Update. So for some reason the page can’t connect to the server. Are the servers offline? I have the mount connected to the same 2.4 GHz WiFi I used before to update. But now the servers aren’t available. Any ideas what’s going on?
