So there is STILL no fix for the CAA rotation nightmare? It’s been months since those problems were reported. Is there a timeframe ZWO can provide for getting the CAA problems solved?

I still have the same issue with my ASI174mc and the ASIair plus - when in preview mode, exposures of 2, 3, 5,10, 30 and 60 seconds return an “exposure failure” error message. I sent a new bug report just now. If I don’t get this fixed this week, I will have to return my ASIair Plus before the 30 day return window closes.

Check your power supply. I had similar problem happen with my camera that was caused by voltage drops. Was using a Celestron Powertank that couldn't supply enough current.

My power supply is rated for 10 amps at 12v. The ASIair app indicates a draw of .3 amps and voltage at 12.1v. I have no other devices plugged in besides the camera that gets power thru the USB. Voltmeter at output of PS is 12.3v. The issue is only the 6 exposure times and it is always the same 6 - no fluctuation. You would think the devs would have a clue to the problem if they know how their ASIair firmware handles these 6 exposure times different from the shorter ones and the three longer ones. (Or how this particular camera might be different from their other cameras in this regard). Another clue - when the exposure is successful for the non-problematic exposures, the time after the green circle closes the shutter, there is about a 1-5 second “loading” delay. >For the problem exposures the “loading” time length is equal to the exposure time. If I choose 30 second exposure, the shutter will be open for 30 seconds, then there is about a 38 second “loading” delay before the error appears. For a 60 second exposure, the delay is about 70 seconds.

Installed 2.3.3 the other day and tried it for the first time last night. I have the ASI2600MC Air.
Session went well for about an hour, and I could see each exposure fine on the screen as they came in. Then each image looked under exposed, more like a 10 second exposure rather than the 300 second exposures I was doing. I checked the actual images and they were fine... checked the auto stretch and it was fine. So that's a new one, and hope you will find a fix for it. I don't think it was anything I've done. Suddenly, I could barely see my sub exposures on the screen, but the exposures themselves were fine.

azskyguy Hello! Are you using Android or iOS? Also, I want to confirm: in the actual FITS image, the exposure parameters are normal, but in the picture displayed on the application interface, the exposure time seems to be incorrect. Is this true? If it is convenient, can you send us the FITS image and a screenshot of and the main interface? Thank you.

Also, let me join in the the CAA... really needs a 'home' position, and I often find it comes close to wrapping the cords too tightly and eventually it will break the USB port. This has been solved by other rotators on the market, and needs to be solved by ZWO. Every time I go to a new target I have to go outside.

Also, as mentioned before, the WiFi is terrible on this camera. I'm about 25 feet from the telescope, which is outside. On earlier versions of the software I could see it's network easily. Now I have to go outside and put my laptop right next to the camera to see the network. Then I can go inside and usually it works for the rest of the night. But the signal is much weaker than it used to be, and since it originaly was fine, it has toi be a software issue.

Thanks for responding. The error appears every time for these 6 exposure parameters. The unit works every time for all other exposure parameters. I’ve been trying with multiple cables, tablets , phones. As you see from my bug report, I am using the latest firmware and app.

Seems the ASI2600MC Air has some fundamental issues since there were many new software versions released that state it has been fixed.
Since I am interested in the upcoming 585 Air I hope a standard ASIAIR hardware will be used…

I'm experiencing a problem with the CAA since the first day I started to use it. I need to try at least 3 times to rotate until it actually rotates. If I'm observing I can deal with it, but if I leave the telescope to work alone, I have to erase most of the takes because they are not in the right angle. Any idea why is this happening? As I said, I have to rotate manually at least 3 times until it responds or I have to slew to the object at least the same amount of trials to make it works. It's quite desperate.

Hello. We have not received any similar feedback. If it is convenient, please upload a log to us after the problem occurs, and record a video of the problem and post it here, so that we can better determine the cause of the problem. Thank you.

PMTeam@ZWO Hi. Thank you for your answer. Ok, I will send the log and the video asap. This happens every session. I thought it was because I had the CAA connected to the camera, so I moved the connection to the ASIAir Mini and the first time it worked fine. But after that, I have the same issue in every session. As I said, I will post the data asap.

Has the issue with the temperature going up rapidly during bias or flat frames on the 2600MC Air been fixed? If I set temperature to -10, and start doing an autorun of bias frames or short exposure flat frames, the temperature immediately starts going up a few degrees to -7 until the autorun is finished. If this has not been reported yet, I can do a bug report from the app. I see it being reported by other members here, so I don't think it's an issue with just my camera.

Why are there no CAA related improvements in this release? Is it being planned in an upcoming release instead?

azskyguy In macOS, you can access the files from the internal memory or any other memory you use in your ASIAir through the Finder while working with the ASIAir. If you use an external USB in the ASIAir or a microCard ( depending on the model you are using ) they will appear in the finder as network devices. Also the internal memory appears the same way. But, in my experience, what you can't do is capturing directly to the Mac, you just can drag the file from the ASIAir to the Mac using the Finder after they are capture in the ASIAir.

If you have an ASIAir cam, you can connect it to the Mac using the USB-C port in the back. The internal extorage should appear on the Desktop as an external drive, same if you plug an USB to the ASIAir cam. I haven't seen any option to add the Mac internal drives to the ASIAir cam for capturing, so I don't think is available.
