How on earth did ZWO stuff up the Asiair so badly? I has become unusable overnight.

Live stacking is not live stacking.
Target is centred way of the target.
Imaging without guiding the entire night.

Yeah this update is a massive regression. Don't know how this was even released. It takes one image session to realize this is not a production ready build.

Random disconnects from ASI Air
Can't platesolve from saved images
Plate solve takes 8-10s and sometimes gets caught in a loop of shooting -> platesolving -> centering -> back to shooting
Random meridian flips
Guide camera + mount just randomly disconnects
Guide camera randomly loops at 0.3-0.4 fps even on 1s exposure. Need restart to fix

Thank you for the other thread you started re-releasing 2.3.3. I don't want to muddy that one up, but do want to reiterate some of the issues immediately above this post such as can't plate solve from saved images and issues with plate solving in general. I also need to make sure you're clear that live stacking does not perform properly either with random histogram behaviors or images not being stacked at all. I'm not sure exactly what it's doing but it's extremely inconsistent. But it's not destructive like random meridian flips. But given the live stacking in 2.3.3 works so well and processes images well for its purpose, I don't know why it was changed.

Also, from this point forward please pay attention to everything people say in this feedback. You ignored so many issues in the beta thread. This is inexcusable. You must take things more slowly and as has been suggested here you should have a routine of testing that thoroughly vetts firmware releases moving forward

Given the issues with 2.4 and problems not being addressed from user posts ZWO has a QC and SW development problem to overcome. I will not be installing new releases until its show that these releases are stable and problem free. I lost one imaging session due to problems with 2.4. This can't happen again.

ToddTT well said Todd, I totally agree with you, if they dont get it right with the next upgrade there will be no end of ASI air units for sale on the Astro classifieds.

Not sure if this has been reported yet. I have 2600MC duo cameras and when starting up both for main camera AND for guide cam the main sensor has been selecteed! Of course this has weird results and does not work properly but it does not give an outright error when trying to guide. I have to turn it of and then try to assign the 2600 for main and 220 for guide, eventually that fixes the issue but it is really strange. Never had that before

Anyone having problems with guiding? I found that since new Update, AsiAir has problems guiding bellow Celestial Ecuador. This problem just start with the update so I was guiding without problems before Upgrade. I saw a message advising Star Lost each 3 or 5 seconds despite the Star are Bright like a SuperNova :-(

Yes I wasted two nights trying to get version 2.4 to work. Guiding was unstable; sometimes it lost the star for no apparent reason in the middle of an AutoRun, and a couple of times it jammed the Dec guide signal hard on (the oly way to snap out of this was power-off reset).

And thats not counting the nunber of times it froze and dropped the WiFi and had to be restarted.

Unusable.

I'm having pretty annoying issues while using the new version within bluestacks (for remote connection). Every time I run the app it resets my location, sometimes closer to home, other times not. I do not even have location enabled in Windows, looks like it depends on my IP. At any rate I would very much like an option to save the location and do not change it on next run.

Wanted to share my issues when I first tried the new 2.4.4 version. My experience with the new version is disappointing. Below is my setup and issues I discovered:
Mount: ZWO AM5
OTC: Edge HD 8"
Camera: ASI294MC Pro
CAA: ZWO CAA
ZWO ASIAIR Plus 256Gb
ASIAIR on iPad.

Issue 1: Focus routine didn't work. I selected the focus routine, zoomed on a star and tried manually adjusting using the Feather Touch focuser. No change in the values or refresh did not show any changes to the focus (I have the continuous refresh setting on).

Polar alignment worked without any issue. Once PA is done, then I selected to go to Arturus via the object search. The mount did slew to Arcturus for adjusting the focus using the Bahtinov mask. But didn't center the object. I also noticed that the go to target button has no description saying 'GoTo' as in the previous versions.

Issue 2: Mount slews to the target but plate solve never comes back with failure or success. Just hangs in there. So the object is not centered. Plate solving is broken badly.
