My experience with 2.4.1 is plate solving is definitely slower. EAF routine cannot find focus star, but scope is in good focus from EAF running previous night on previous version. Using ASIAIR mini on AVX and D5300 camera.

What version does ASIAir Mini revert back to if I click the reset firmware button. I’m at a dark site this week, and I don’t want to screw myself further. So frustrating. ZWO please push a reversion update that works as well as it did before!

i hope this link above works, if not just scroll up 2 days or so to see the post from Cosair. my understanding is that when you reset the air reverts to original software and firmware (years ago). you then need to update to whatever version you wish

Hn2z7ENs Follow up. I returned from my dark site trip and started using my other setup and found same issue with EAF not finding a suitable focus star. This happens about 50% of the time, and will work sometimes without me changing anything. I’m running two ASIAirs on two different scope, 700mm and 300mm with same camera (D5300). Both with broadband filter, so lots of good stars to pick from. The ASIAir also beeps for no apparent reason while in Plan mode and imaging.

I've told literally dozens of ASIAir users in my club, on CN, and Astrobin to follow it.

Your silence on fixing this is deafening, and there are people switching back to MiniPC's if they had one. Those guys probably won't come back to your ecosystem.

R0k9pZfT Hello. We have analyzed your log. Modifying guiding settings during guiding will not take effect immediately. The settings will be obtained when guiding starts.

PMTeam@ZWO They never take effect. All settling settings do is make the ASIair timeout while doing NO guiding. Once the timer expires, then it starts guiding AND shooting the image. Seems like you should use the settle parameters to guide BEFORE you start capturing the image.

We have received your feedback about the slow plate solve speed. We need to confirm with you further. In what scenario does this happen? Is it during the GoTo/PA/AF/Image management process? Is a filter used? What is the exposure setting?

Since the v2.4.1 version of the parsing algorithm is the same as the previous version v2.3.3, we don't have much ideas at the moment. We suggest that you check whether the focal length is correct, whether there is moon light pollution, and whether the filter is added so that the exposure time needs to be increased. Or provide more specific information, so that we may be able to find the commonality of the problem and further speculate on the possibility of the problem. Thank you for your help.

PMTeam@ZWO the green image is only in the preview mode and not any final imaging files. After a AF routine it happens to me, but like I said… once I start the autorun, the longer saved images are fine. This has happened using my 183, 585, 533 and 2600 series cameras so it is not a camera issue. It has happened using all 4 or my asiair plus and pro cintrollers.

I wish AsiAir App could be available for Microsoft Store so we don't have to use just our mobile phones or tablets, we could use a desktop PC or Laptop with Windows.

This may be due to the white balance algorithm, and we have also paid attention to this issue. If possible, after the abnormal preview image appears, click Save on the right and send this FITS image to us to verify the repair effect. We plan to fix this issue in the next version. Thank you.

Tonight I lost 40 minutes of imaging because subframes never loaded from camera to the camera storage. ASIAIR reports 'loading' and the image never appears or downloads. If I paise and then resume the session downloads will work for awhile, but then stop again. I have reported this many months ago, and now it is back. I sent 3 logs of this issue tonight. It was a really clear night for imaging and much of it was lost due to this recurring issue.

azskyguy Hello. According to your previous records, you are using a 2600MC Air camera. This is because an exposure failure occurred and the system is retrying the exposure. What mode were you in at the time? Live/Autorun/Plan? What was your exposure time setting?

I updated to the latest to give it another try. Well everything worked as it should! Only issue I saw was the greenish tint in the displayed image.

However I only did a autorun and not a plan. The flip worked as it was suppose to and I ended up with 72 x 2 minute subs on M20 with no rejects!

ColVR yeah i had to do a previous install for the 2024 update to a pre2.2 release and stopped any firmware/software updates. back in late june this year bought a 2600mcpro wasnt able to use till the day before the 2.4 update and was forced to do the 2.3 one night and it was crap, then the next night 2.4 forced update hit and it was even worse. Im losing reason to continue buying zwo products.
