Looks like corrupted filesystem. Backup your files over WiFi and then format it.

Once you have confirmed that all files have been successfully backed up, you can proceed to format the Seestar device.
If you are formatting it on a computer, please make sure to select the exFAT file system. Choosing any other format may cause the device to malfunction.
After formatting is complete, reconnect the device using the USB data cable to verify proper functionality.
Note: Formatting will erase all data on the Seestar. Please ensure that all important files are backed up beforehand.

Hello, I suddenly have the same problem. The Seestar charges using the USB connection but no data transfer. Used 4 different usb cables (also the one that came with the Seestar) and 2 different laptops and still no connection. So I guess it's, as mentioned above, a corrupted file. Now I'm planning to format the Seestar's hard drive. I've copied all the images from my Seestar to my laptop using the Wifi connection. Is the System Volume Information also an important folder? And the only way I see I can format the Seestar is by using the Seestar app. But will it only format the picture partition? How can you repair a corrupted system file like this? @"O5w77p3o" - Did it solve your problem? Thanks in advance.

P. Bombas We’re not sure if that folder is important for you, but when you format the Seestar, all image files will be erased, and it will not affect the system. Corrupted system files cannot be recovered.

Support@Seestar Thank you for the quick reply. But does that mean that once a system file from the Seestar is corrupt you can't repair or recover it? Once corrupt always corrupt? Will a format help in this case as suggested previously?

This has nothing to do with Seestar, the image was simply corrupted when it was transferred to the computer.

Dear ZWO, is there a possibility to get a reset to factory setting possibility? And I don't mean the wifi reset button on the bottom of the Seestar S50. I can't use the USB cable to get my files from the Seestar since it seems there is a corrupted file on the system software of the Seestar. I tried multiple pc's and cables but no success. So I thought no problem I get my files through the Wifi (station mode), but now that I updated my OS to windows 11 (windows 10 is not supported anymore), when I give in the IP address it asks me for network credentials with name and password. Which user and password should I be giving? Is it possible that the complete system software is overwritten during the next firmware update just to get rid of the corrupted file? At this moment I can't get to my files...

P. Bombas Open the PowerShell administrator terminal, then enter the command: Set-SmbClientConfiguration -RequireSecuritySignature $false. You should then be able to log in.

P. Bombas Well, lucky you! Here (I am on Win11 Pro and the latest S50 firmware) this workaround does not work at all, I am still unable to connect to the S50 to transfer files in any way other than with a USB cable.
