Luxo I know the focal lengths of my scopes to the millimeter - even with thermal expansion/contraction. That is not an issue. That 2.3.3 works perfectly well and 2.4.x do not makes pretty clear something is borked either in the firmware or the app.
Sure, but from what I've read, what has worked for some is setting the focal length to 0 and letting the ASIAIR calculate it the way I described. Worth trying.
Luxo It is six months since the debacle - many here were fed up waiting as galaxy season came and went.
Sorry to hear that it went that way for you and others. However, there were also plenty that it worked fine for. Yes, 2.4 was a debacle which ZWO did admit to, but it does seem they have fixed issues since then.
Luxo More interestingly Touptek are getting their act together and if that reaches the state of "reasonably useable" many more will leave the ZWO ecosystem.
Competition is great. I hope Touptek and others come onto the market as it would - hopefully - make ZWO improve as well. Would love to see Touptek (and other potential systems) implement a Live Mode for Live Stacking like is available in the ASIAIR.
