You still haven't added support for the new Nikon, Canon, and Sony mirrorless cameras. When will we see an update for the supported cameras?

flayzud To be frank do not expect any updates from ZWO regarding much of canon, nikon, i'd say you can completely forget the support latest sony cameras as well. They will never update them. There are so many people in this forum crying about asking for update on their cameras for years, and has never recevived any till date sadly.

I opened Testflight on my Mac to get the beta but it says the developer has taken me off the beta list. Worse, it updated the ASIAIR app to 2.5.1 on my iPhone, so now the 2 versions don't match. Thanks ZWO.

If I turn off GoTo Autocenter for the mount, it still does Autocenter in Plan mode. Not a big problem really but inconsistent. If for some reason I make a plan with the sun, moon or the larger planets, I can't use Plan mode.

Holmbo Hello Holmbo, We recommend using video mode for shooting the sun, moon or the larger planets. You can give this mode a try.

Hello will you ever fix the Asi 220 mini guide screen bug that has been around for over a year?

Gatsu87 What is that bug? I don't think I am aware of it but knowing of it might explain somethings to me.

retman I'm on Android. In v2.50 is still dark. I didn't try the 2.5.1 because is a beta And after the mess that's happened over the last year with the various versions, I want to wait at least for the latest version to be stable. However, the change log doesn't mention the 220 mini. Dsqh3WbQ the bug is this:

the background in guide screen is totally gray or totally dark. I tried changing the gain, but the problem is still there. The problem occurs with all devices that use the Asi 220 mini. I have both the Asi 2600 Mc Air Pro and the Asi 220 mini single, and the problem is still there.

PMTeam@ZWO You missed my point there. I use video for planets. It was just an example (bad) when it is difficult to plate solve. The problem is that you can't turn off Auto Center for Plan mode. If you imagine a plan where you set up a number of widefield objects for the night and centering is not important, and there is a risk of clouds. Then you might want to turn off Auto Center, otherwise the plan will be stopped if there are any clouds when the plate solve in GoTo Auto Center take place. You can turn off Guiding, Auto Cooling and Auto Meridian Flip so why shouldn't you be able to turn off GoTo Auto Center?

Gatsu87 Thank you for your reply. I use the ASI120mm mini as a guide camera but have the same issue with the guiding screening on V2.5 being VERY dark, no contrast, and very few and super dim stars (I'm also on android). I also note that the since the stars are so dim the software usually picks the brightest star in the field of view. This bright star is so bright that i have to turn the gain WAY down in order not to clip (a gain or 1 or 2 which is crazy since i used to have the gain in the 40 range!!!).
I am in the middle of a project so, like you, i have not tried v2.5.1 (ZWO suggested i try v2.5.1 but i am afraid to!). I also read the update log but since there was no mention of this issue being fixed i did not "upgrade". Hopefully after CNY they (ZWO) can address. ZWO advised that they did not make any changes in this area of the software but they are mistaken. either software or firmware has certainly been changed!

You can always downgrade to a version that was working.
I don't know if 2.4.3 worked for you or not (or any of the 2.4.x releases) but you should also be able to downgrade to 2.3.3 as well if required.

Ah ok...I hadn't really noticed it. I'll have to check again next time I try and image...if I do considering the state of 2.5.13.13. It isn't good. I was wondering if the bug was that the DEC will not "settle" after calibration. It stays way of outside of the guide graph. I have to stop guiding and restart it then the DEC is spot on with RA and no settle time needed.

Corsair In fact, I am currently using version 2.4.4, which personally I consider the most stable one. However, the contrast bug of the ASI 220 Mini is still present in every version

Corsair gatsu87 is correct. I tried downgrading, back to 2.3.1(that did not have the guiding screen contrast issue) but discovered that the contrast issue was still present. I don't understand this.

Original v2.3.1.....no guiding screen issues
"Upgraded" to v2.5.....had screen issues
Reverted ti v2.3.1...still had issues
Loaded v2.5 again....still dark screen
So going back doesn't fix the issue that the "upgrade" caused.

I wondering if updating the ASIAIR app/firmware to 2.5 then also update the firmware on the ASI220 Mini camera as well?

If that is the case - then the issue would be caused by an update to the camera firmware - since that would explain why the issue sticks around even after downgrading the app/firmware of the ASIAIR itself (assuming the downgrade was done properly and it didn't auto update itself of course).

Does the Firmware Upgrade Tool (go here https://www.zwoastro.com/software/, then select Desktop App, and scroll down to Fimrware Upgrade Tool) tell you what firmware version/date you are running on the camera?

I have tested the new beta and can report that the dark guiding screen issue has not been fixed for me. Same result on ASI585MC Air and ASI2600MC DUO.
Otherwise no issues experienced.
