I recently reverted my ASIAIR Plus to firmware 2.5.2 to address intermittent long gaps (e.g. 600/900s) and failed exposures I was experiencing during long Autoruns under firmware 3.0.
Last night I ran a 9.5-hour session capturing 100 × 300s lights.
The results:
All 100 frames completed normally, with zero missing or failed exposures.
The Autorun terminated exactly as scheduled at astronomical dawn.
The system logged several PHD2 dither settle timeouts and some Wi-Fi dropouts, but critically, the settle timeouts did not interrupt acquisition or cause the exposure sequence to freeze; the next exposure started normally.
It is too early to declare a definitive fix, but this is my first long, completely clean, run in quite a while. It looks highly promising for my particular setup and warrants further testing.
