wvreeven yes used correct Original cables. Does Not Boot at all. Seems to be a tolerance Problem in Voltage stability? It worked at the 12V plugin of my car.
when i connect the ac/dc Converter to the accu Tank @220V asiairplus is booting but then turns off again. Accu Tank is the u‘king 296Wh. Maybe you try? Is a Common Tank I guess

Hi guys, where I can switch on multistar guiding? I don't find this possibility in asi program. I have asi pro.

Femid Multistar guiding is chosen automatically if you do not click on any star in the guide window.

Everything was working fine until the last ASIAIR Pro firmware update. I'm not able to guide anymore (the ASIAIR Pro is only calibrating). On top of it, when the guiding is activated (on) I'm getting some startrails. When the guiding is (off), everything is fine. See the pictures below.

Anyone with the same issue? Also, is it possible to connect the Mount directly to the ASIAIR or I still have to connect in the usb-2 of my camera in order the see my mount with the ASIAIR?

Since the last V1.7 it's a nightmare.
Constant disconnections, sometimes it won't find the ASIAIR even when I am on it's WiFi hotspot...
When you can't connect anymore, what's left to do? Switch off everything at the expense of a thermal choc for the camera???

After adjusting the focus, the guidance camera detects enough stars and automatically selects the best one. Guidance starts right away.
I leave all the default parameters and the guidance stays fine all night.
I never thought guidance would be so easy, I'm very happy!

I have been trying to calibrate with the Air Pro for guiding. All go-to functions seam to work fine. Slewing works fine however when I attempt to calibrate for guiding the mount moves so far that the stars go entirely out of the field of view. Then stars are lost. Any solutions?

grimstod without knowing any of your guide settings or main and guide scope focal lengths I’m going to guess maybe your calibration step sizes are too large i.e. instead of 2000ms try 1000ms or 500ms and see if that helps.

WalterT ITs a 275mm fl OAG setup. I did reduce guiding steps. Tried 1000, 500 even 10.

WalterT I did found a solution. It's an odd one too. I still cannot get regular PHD2 to work but with the ASIAIR Plus I found a way.
In the calibration and guide menu. I changed the numbers to all oddball numbers. Then it calibrates and guides. If you end the numbers with two 00s then it will not work. Also taking the calibration numbers down below 200ms causes the mount to slew until it crashes itself. This is with the Beta 1.8 of the ASIAIR Plus. I attached a screen shot of my setting for others.

I am attaching a screen shot for others to see. This fixed issues with my ZEQ25 ioptron mount.

grimstod ok, at that wide FL the step size shouldn’t case the guide star to move out of view. Just to make sure, for an OAG setup, make sure that your main camera focal length and your guide camera focal length are the same. Also, it may help others smarter than me help you if you paste the PHD2 calibration log data here.

WalterT It would be great to post some PHD2 data logs but since I cannot get it to calibrate(it looses the stares on the first calibration step) I cannot get one.

I am getting an error with "Save fail" and "Image saved failed, the outrun stopped" I tried firmware reset and the files still don't save. Any suggestions? Using ASIAIR Plus.

The PLUS worked as advertised right out of the box. My learning curve was short since I have been using and enjoying a PRO for one year. At a recent Astro event (Black Forest Star Party) I was able to wonder around and visit with fellow astrophotographers sharing imaging targets on my wifi connected iPad during Autorun sessions. For me, the enhanced wifi alone was worth the upgrade. I can now move into my camper for a warm up during an imaging session without experiencing a wifi signal loss. On 5g, I’m seeing 12mbs image uploads with my USB2 Nikon. Also, the software update fixed the issue of me having to manually enter the baud rate of my GEM 28 mount. Thanks for addressing that.

I look forward to future enhancements that your team implements. Good Stuff.

Doing east/west step works fine, but north/south step isn't
South step 1,2,3 to become greater dsitance as expected,
but south step 5,4,3... still make distance greater.

So when correction goes on while shooting, it go south crazy and won't came back

Just had an update to 1.8 (8.83) and now I can't get a preview image with any exposure other than 0.001s.

Also noticed odd behaviour when clicking the tools icon, appears to exit full screen mode and shows the phone navigation buttons.

Anyone else having problems?

Is it possible to revert to the previous version?

I think I've worked this out. If the image is overexposed, it will not load. I guess this would normally not be a problem but I like to start my setup when it's still quite light. Might be camera related, I'm using a ASI294MC-Pro.

This is something that has definitely changed with the last update - maybe it's considered a feature?

Everything was working well with my ASIAir Pro, then the 8.83/1.8 update happened.
Now:
It no longer automatically does a plate solve on a goto operation. That includes Preview, Autorun, Plan. You have to manually take a preview picture, hit the Plate Solve icon, then hit the button that tells the app to sync the mount and center the target.
Each time the unit is rebooted, the storage defaults to the internal SD card. It use to default to the USB stick, if one was plugged in. Now you have to go into storage management and change the setting to the USB stick manually, every single time.
The preview image is now very purple. This is happening on my tablet and phone, so it appears to be something has changed in the app. The image files themselves are normal, this is just the preview image.
There appears to be no documentation provided to the user about these significant functional changes. I use to be a huge fan of my ASIAir Pro, but between the PL23xx issue and now these problems, I'm not sure I can recommend this product any more.
Why did you change things that were working perfectly? And how do I get my ASIAir Pro to work the way it did before this update? Can you please let us go back to the previous version.

Update: The mount did a meridian flip correctly tonight. The ASIAir did a normal, automatic plate solve after the flip. So at least one area of the app hasn't changed.

Update 2: It looks like the 1.8/8.83 update cleared the "GoTo Auto-Center" setting. Turning this back on restored the automatic plate solving on a GoTo operation. Yay!

Now if I could just find a solution to the SD/USB issue.
