Yes, the fact is the current MinMov value is just too aggressive for those using a OAG and ASI290MM. With a MinMov of 0.1 and pixel scale of 1"/pixel it will try to correct every 0.1" when my typical seeing is much much higher than that. This overdrives the mount on seeing changes especially in DEC where most mounts with some backlash or stiction won't want to be overdriven. I really need to change from 0.1" to three of four times (0.4" if seeing is bad).

The solution is to allow the user to change the MinMov, even if it's in an experts config menu. This is such an important setting that it should really be added to the interface, and should be a quick feature to add!

Polar alignement is very well, UX in general is very good even on a smartphone.
Wifi connection has been improved with a Wifi extender.
The main issue for me is mount control is KO : no Goto or pulse guiding and that's a pitty because I don't want to change my mount.

Tip: You can use Stellarium/Kstars on a PC with AISAir, just set the INDI server IP address to be the ASIAir . Running the ASIAir Android app in an emulator on another screen is also pretty cool. I use BlissOS, the app crashes in the latest Android-x86.

This post is for Losmandy Gemini-2 mini users. I'm seeing a good guide calibration upon initial acquired target with the mount. However, if we need to recalibrate our guide scope, the AAP doesn't change the mount speed back to "guide" automatically when a new guide command is given, resulting in giant "move" pulse swings that lose the target and force us to reframe. Just checking to see if thats a communication problem with the gemini, or is it something that can be programmed in the AAP?

Hi ZWO. Been getting very frustrated with AAP since multistar was introduced. It doesn't work for me when using OAG/462 with my SCT. There will be plenty of stars visible to me in the preview, but multistar will always pick hot pixels to go along with the stars, resulting in guiding issues. I can manually select a star and guiding will be good, but as soon as a merdian flip occurs, or slew to next target in plans mode, multistar will become active again (with hot pixels selected), and the rest of the session images will be unusable. Need a way to avoid hot pixels (bad pixel map/dark frames/binning), or a way to completely disable multistar guiding, like a toggle in the guide settings. AAP used to work great for me, but no longer does because of hot pixels being chosen as guidestars & because multistar is automatically re-enabled despite me selecting single star.

deepskywatching In what way isn't it working? Does it try to boot and fail? No power at all? If no power at al, are you sure that the cable used to connect the ASIAir Plus to the power supply is the correct one? I don't see any reason why ZWO would choose to change the connector size but you never know...

wvreeven yes used correct Original cables. Does Not Boot at all. Seems to be a tolerance Problem in Voltage stability? It worked at the 12V plugin of my car.
when i connect the ac/dc Converter to the accu Tank @220V asiairplus is booting but then turns off again. Accu Tank is the u‘king 296Wh. Maybe you try? Is a Common Tank I guess

Hi guys, where I can switch on multistar guiding? I don't find this possibility in asi program. I have asi pro.

Femid Multistar guiding is chosen automatically if you do not click on any star in the guide window.

Everything was working fine until the last ASIAIR Pro firmware update. I'm not able to guide anymore (the ASIAIR Pro is only calibrating). On top of it, when the guiding is activated (on) I'm getting some startrails. When the guiding is (off), everything is fine. See the pictures below.

Anyone with the same issue? Also, is it possible to connect the Mount directly to the ASIAIR or I still have to connect in the usb-2 of my camera in order the see my mount with the ASIAIR?

Since the last V1.7 it's a nightmare.
Constant disconnections, sometimes it won't find the ASIAIR even when I am on it's WiFi hotspot...
When you can't connect anymore, what's left to do? Switch off everything at the expense of a thermal choc for the camera???

After adjusting the focus, the guidance camera detects enough stars and automatically selects the best one. Guidance starts right away.
I leave all the default parameters and the guidance stays fine all night.
I never thought guidance would be so easy, I'm very happy!

I have been trying to calibrate with the Air Pro for guiding. All go-to functions seam to work fine. Slewing works fine however when I attempt to calibrate for guiding the mount moves so far that the stars go entirely out of the field of view. Then stars are lost. Any solutions?

grimstod without knowing any of your guide settings or main and guide scope focal lengths I’m going to guess maybe your calibration step sizes are too large i.e. instead of 2000ms try 1000ms or 500ms and see if that helps.

WalterT ITs a 275mm fl OAG setup. I did reduce guiding steps. Tried 1000, 500 even 10.

WalterT I did found a solution. It's an odd one too. I still cannot get regular PHD2 to work but with the ASIAIR Plus I found a way.
In the calibration and guide menu. I changed the numbers to all oddball numbers. Then it calibrates and guides. If you end the numbers with two 00s then it will not work. Also taking the calibration numbers down below 200ms causes the mount to slew until it crashes itself. This is with the Beta 1.8 of the ASIAIR Plus. I attached a screen shot of my setting for others.

I am attaching a screen shot for others to see. This fixed issues with my ZEQ25 ioptron mount.
