ulysses2020 I agree it's very frustrating. These products are marketed to "improve" life, make things easier, etc. And they do...but only when they work properly. Seems like too many people with the D5300 are having this same issue . ZWO's only response thus far is...it's the cable. Well if that's the case and the cable needs to meet certain specs, then those specs should be spelled out or the PROPER cable should be included for a nominal fee for D5300 users. I'd gladly pay a small fee to cover the cost of the proper cable to give me more confidence on system use. The D5300 is a rather popular Astro DSLR, at a good price point. And let's face it, anyone using the ASi Air Pro isn't using really high-end gear for the most part...so it's target market should be the amateur hobbyists, and they should do the right thing and include or offer the proper hardware (cable) for particular customer's needs.
