Just tested that new beta version 2.2.2(6) for few hours tonight.
For some raison I'm still getting a network disconnect issue when the Asiair is using station network mode.

I started to experience that issue since the official version 2.2.1.
Never get any disconnection before

The imaging sessions started normally, but arround 25 minutes later the connection between the asiair plus and my Ipad get lost.
From there, the asiair software was unable to reconnect with the asiair through my home network ( station mode ).
To retake control, I've manually switched my ipad to the local asiair network, and from there I've been able to reconnect and take the control back of my imaging session.
In the background, the autorun session never get interrupted though, the asiair was continuing to take the images.
After i experienced that disconection issue, I've never been able to reconnect to the asiair through my local network.

** A bug reports was sent to zwo just right after I've been able to retake control of the asiair. **

So with that been said, I can only rely on the local asiair network.
Just hopping it can be fixed on the next release !

Okay shot 4 hrs Elephant Trunk Nebula last night - tracking was best ever (0.32 arc sec) and no disconnects. So it seems to be working great. Thank you ZWO.

As an owner of a 2600 MC Air this update is a winner. My WiFi is stronger, downloads are faster. Guiding seems to be better, and for the first time when I set cooler to 0 degrees c it goes to 0.0, instead of .5. So Bravo, I seem to be fully functional. And no disconnects in station mode. I was having several an hour before.

    Many thanks.

I spoke too soon praising lates software and firmware. Tonight I was doing a sequence of 30 fin minute subs. On image 12 the jpeg never loaded for display and the actual FITS file was corrupted. It's attached. I've sent ZWO the appropriate log files. It was fixed by rebooting camera, but then I had to re-acquire the target wasting a lot of session time.

I'm still on 2.2.1. How do I get my 2600MC Air to update?

Oh, I think I see the issue, it's only Beta so won't be automatically updating my 2600MC Air until it is out of beta

Same issue with station mode since 2.2.1 disconnects and can’t reconnect. Same with 2.2.2
    Please fix!

Still having sessions ruined by corrupted images and images that fail to download.. so ASIair is stuck on 'loading'.
Also, I try to run WiFi at 2.4 but it keeps switching to 5ghz where I get less range.

The broken images can only be fixed by restarting camera, which really interrupts my workflow.

    Please investigate and fix.

    Thanks.

If issues with the Nikon D5100 are getting fixed, does this mean that the A7rV might be working properly without having to use a shutter release cable by the year 2028?

azskyguy I try to run WiFi at 2.4 but it keeps switching to 5ghz where I get less range.

Check your WiFi router for a setting that is usually called Band Steering. The modern routers try to move the remote devices to the 5 GHz bands if Band Steering is turned on.

You can also get a cheap router like a GLnet Opal, and use that as a repeater, and only turning on the 2.4 GHz radio on the Opal.

My router says there is no option to disable it. Bu this is a problem that seemed to start last night. Have had the same router for 5 years which has worked fine with ASIair Pro and Plus. This ASIair is built into the camera, a new 2600MC Air.

just installed v2.2.2 release (non beta) version and the BLE option is still not showing up to connect AM3/AM5N on 32GB AAP+ on IOS18

RLamb it sure is easy to get confused with asiair variants. I though that the only version that had bluetooth was the new 256GB (3024) version

            Corsair
That is not correct, I can connect to my AM3 with AA+ 256GB just fine.

retman where did you see this? I haven’t seen anything that says which AAP+ models this feature would work with, so logically I assume all models.

ZWO - please confirm which versions of AAP+ will and will not work with BLE. The “how to connect” link within the app itself suggests that my 32GB unit can connect over BLE.

              @Tech@ZWO @PMTeam@ZWO

Could you please confirm which of these models of ASIAIR, if any, will/will not work with BLE?

              1. ASIAIR v1
              2. ASIAIR Pro
              3. ASIAIR Plus 32GB
              4. ASIAIR Mini
              5. ASIAIR Plus 256GB
              6. ASI2600MC Air

RLamb High Point Scientific. See the ASIAIR 256GB (2024). There is a section titled "Good Connectivity Options". It discusses the addition of Bluetooth to the 2024 version. I have this version and can confirm that BLE will control an AM3 mount. ( however software 2.2.1 was so buggy i went back to a beta version, 2.1.3, that i've been using for a while)

FYI the asiair 32gb based on the Raspberry Pi CM4 has Bluetooth hardware support so in theory a simple software update could enable it.
